& Blakes great-grandparents, Jim & Maybell Turner; Jim celebrates his 96th birthday
today and Maybell celebrated her 93rd birthday in September.

the Hanging of the Greens service at 5pm.
Invitations - Be sure to pick up an invitation or two to invite a
friend, relative, co-worker or neighbor to Christmas Eve Worship.
Pecans! Come see the selection the Searcy Feely Circle has for you
in the Connector this morning. Proceeds benefit UMW missions.
Sign Up for 2015 Altar Flowers Youre invited to participate
in providing altar flowers for our morning worship services. The
signup chart is in the Connector where you can indicate the Sunday
you want to provide one of two sets of altar flowers used each
Sunday. Each set of two vases/arrangements costs $40.
Poinsettia Ordering Order online or stop by the welcome
Desk in the Connector to purchase poinsettias in honor of, or in
memory of a special family member, friend or group. The plants are
used to decorate for Advent and to be delivered by congregation
members to our church family members in care centers or
homebound. Poinsettias are $12 each.
A Living Gift for Christmas - MUMC Heifer volunteers will host
a Heifer Advent Alternative Gift Table in the Connector this morning
and Dec. 6. They will provide gift catalogs so you may contribute
toward animal gifts to transform the lives of recipient families and
provide honor cards to announce your gift to those you love.
Cornerstone Mission of the Month - Your November coffee
shop tips support Room at the Inn.
Advent Candle Lighting - During the Advent season, we mark
our waiting and expecting with the lighting of the Advent candles
each week in worship. We are looking for families, couples,
individuals and friends to lead the candle lighting in each of our
services by reading a litany and lighting the candles. If you are
interested in participating in worship in this way, please email Rev.
Trista (or sign the tear-off) trista@moumc.org.
Finals Week Snacks - We will be supporting our students with
hospitality, group study rooms, quiet rooms and study snacks from
Dec. 14-18. If youd like to bring study snacks and comfort food for
this ministry, please contact Kim Parker at parker@moumc.org.
Volunteer Baristas - Our PIE, Jefferson Middle School, is
in need of baristas to help with their Reading Day on Friday,
Dec. 18. We need volunteers to cover shifts from 7:30am-3pm.
Responsibilities include serving hot cocoa and cookies to the
reading students as well as interacting with the delightful middle
school students from JMS!!!! If you are available, please contact Ann
Merrifield at amerrifield@ccis.edu or 573-864-1839.

Coming Up

Room at the Inn (RATI) Emergency Winter Shelter will be


open Dec. 20 through March 3, 2016. Our mission is to provide
a warm and safe place to sleep during the cold winter months
for those in our community without shelter. Missouri UMC is
co-hosting Jan. 31 through Feb. 14. Email Connie Carpenter at
roomattheinncomo@gmail.com to sign up to help.
