INP-TN514208-E
After operations according to messages, the Tuning Dialog (Fig. 11-2) appears.
The graph field displays trend graphs for PV, SV and MV.
Scaling of the graph field is automatically determined, and cannot be changed.
The Palet specification field displays a currently selected pallet number or Local selection status.
Upon double clicking on [Value] in the window, you can change the value by direct input or by selection out of
pull-down menus.

14. Precautions
(1)
(2)
(3)
(4)
(5)
The software is provided free of charge as sample application for communication of digital
controller (PXH), and is not intended for us to guarantee the operation of program. Supply of
substitute for CD-ROM damaged or otherwise troubled or request for up-version will be with
charge. Latest program versions will be reported occasionally on our website.
This software cannot be used if a template number that cannot be selected by the parameter loader
is selected on PXH.
For details of parameter setting, refer to the User's Manual.
For parameter setting on the Menu Window (Fig. 7-1), refer to "Appendix, Parameter list".
Input type (PV1T, PV2T) can be selected out of types given in the table below according to the
input unit (PV1U, PV2U).
Table 14-1 Input types

(9)
(10)
(11)
If any parameter of Ch.8 or Ch.9 was changed, PXH must be restarted (reset). On this loader, if
downloading is executed after changing any parameter of Ch.8 or Ch.9, a message appears
prompting you to admit resetting and the PXH will automatically be reset.
While downloading after a change of scale setting, PV reading may be different from a true value
temporarily. However, it is not a failure. A correct reading will be resumed after the end of
downloading.
LoC parameter of Ch.1 has a function of inhibiting downloading by communication. If LoC on
PXH was set at any of 3 to 5, downloading or uploading automatically changes the value of LoC to
one of 0 to 2. If you use LoC at one of 3 to 5, carry out setting manually.
Changing the setting (SV_L1, SV1 to SV7) on the Tuning Dialog does not change the setting
value of Ch.2 (SV_L1) nor Ch.3 (SV1 to SV7). Check the settings of Ch.2 (SV_L1) and Ch.3
(SV1 to SV7) before you execute "download" after the end of tuning.
P, I, D, ATP1, Sv1 to Sv7 edited manually on the Tuning Dialog will be transferred to PXH but not
fixed. Last values will be resumed by turning off and on or resetting the PXH. For
downloading parameter settings to PXH, exit the Tuning Dialog, set the parameters, and download
the settings from the Menu Window.
If downloading was unsuccessful on account of communication error, etc., check the
communication conditions and connection before recommencing the downloading. By way of
precaution, proceed to turning-off and on or resetting.
12
INP-TN514208-E
(12)
(13)
(14)
(15)
(16)
(17)
(18)
The stop bit setting included in the communication condition settings (Fig. 6-5, 9-1, 11-1) for the
parameter loader is not used at present but is reserved for future. Be sure to leave the setting as 1
bit.
Do not detach the communication cable while in communication. Otherwise, the PXH may
operate erratically.
Do not turn off nor reset the PXH while in communication. Otherwise, the PXH may operate
erratically.
Do not set the PC to a standby status while using the parameter loader.
If setting of Ch.8 parameters (Pv1F, Pv1b, Pv1d, Pv2F, Pv2b, Pv2d, Ai1F, Ai1b, Aild, UCF1,
UCb1, UCd1) is repeatedly changed, parameters of industrial units suffer from rounding errors
because of initialize operations at such changes and, therefore, the indication may sometimes be
different from that on PXH. However, it is not a trouble. In such a case, change the scale and
then check and set the parameters.
If a template is changed on the parameter loader, it takes longer (about 2 min) than normal.
However, it is not a trouble.
While the Tuning Dialog is on, any communication error due to loader cable open circuit, etc. will
not be displayed. After the error has been removed, last trend display is resumed.
