School didnt meant much for me.

Going to school was to see friends and do

some pranks.
Until the secondary school, where learning started making sense and
becoming more interesting.

Born and raised in Lebanon.

Being the youngest of three girls,
I am the spoiled one

As a child, I NEVER played TEACHER and

School, and rarely played with Barbies!

Most Importantly! This is the time

where I discovered the essence of life:

I enjoyed skateboarding, playing

with cars, Lego, and taking
martial arts classes!

Becoming a teacher never

crossed my mind!

MUSIC!!! And that was it.

I am in love for the rest of my life!

I also had a very caring teacher, who left a great impact on my life! And that
was my life saving positive experience!!

But STILL that didnt lead me to take the decision to become a

teacher!!
Actually! I did not take any decision to become a teacher!!
As a lost 18 year old, I didnt really know what I wanted my career to be
for the coming 50 years or so!! DID YOU?

I had no clue! But still I had to apply to universities! So I set one criteria in
mind; I WANT TO WORK WITH KIDS, maybe help making their life easier!
To keep it short, I got accepted for the Education Bachelor degree and
Teaching Diploma Program, and honestly I didnt say no! It wasnt until the
last year of my Bachelor that I understood what teaching is all about!

FUTURE GOALS
- Work with and understand
Technology to develop curricular
that are tailored to make
learning fun, inquiry oriented,
culturally relative and accessible
to all. Maybe also teacher
training!
- Work with others to improve
the Educational System in my
country and everywhere else!
- Find, buy and play the HANG

And HERE I AM! At the

Universitt des
Saarlandes studying
Educational
Technology and
doing my Wiki page!

Doing observations, teaching under supervision.

HMMMMMM, I started to think; Teaching IS
INTERSETING! And working with kids is actually FUN!
And there it was My new found PASSION in life!
I started my Masters in Education at my university and
continued at the Lebanese American University! But I
wasnt enjoy it, and the work took all my time!
Now you know! My first passion in life was TEACHING!
Another NEW PASSION came later after 10 years (will tell you about it later)

So MY CAREER! I started teaching during my last year of University.

I spent 2 years at a school as a homeroom teacher for first grade,
then moved for the next years (OR DECADE) of my life to the
GERMAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL BEIRUT as an English Teacher for
Elementary Classes and Coordinator of the Department.
It was the best experience any teacher could wish for! We always worked
with new approaches and challenges! During these 10 years, I got the chance
to work on the Literature Approach, Discovery Learning, Integration of subjects
(through curriculum and teaching practices), using technology and multimedia
in teaching. Until the Interactive White Board and Tech Supported Classes
saw the light! We started using Technology and IWB in the last 4 years. It
was FUN, it was NEW . But after sometime, I had BIG QUESTION MARKS!

And so.. I landed in

THE BURN OUT! Starting to feel burned out and seeing how

inappropriate understanding and use of technology is being applied, I

I stayed there for around a

year, and learned the

So I started having these BIG IDEAS about teaching, its practices

and philosophy! I knew I had to get into that field again and study
the theories and rational behind the use of Technology in Education!

During that year, I found my

GERMANY sounded good for a change! And going back

plan started! First LANGUAGE, then UNI!
