with 'all' consumers woulcl take a cansiderable number

1.6.4 Manoeuvring with guests

Again this is the up_scaled version
of the previous condition. The ef_
fect will be a higher connected load.

As there will be enough electrical

power all consumers can be con_
nected with the same restrictions

as mentioned before

The resulting expected

electrical
loads are shown in the example of
the load balance in the column .,ma_
noeuvring with crew and guests,,

1.6.5 Sailing without guests

In this condition the power

man_

agement system will limit the total

generated power

to one

genera_

tor. This will be an environmentally

friendly profile where the load of
one generator is limited to an op_

timum 95yo.

When required the power manage_

ment system will temporarily

re_

duce the Ioad of some consumers

like the HVAC system or switch off
the non essential consumers.

The resulting expected electrical

loads are shown in the example of

the load balance in the column Sail_
ing with crew.

1.6.6 Sailing with guests

This is the extended version of the
previous condition with the

HVAC

systems for crew and guests at full

capacity. The actual power con_

sumption will depend on the out_

side temperature.

The power management system

will control the total generated
power and will normally connect
one or two generators.
The resulting expected

electrical
loads are shown in the example of
the load balance in the column Sail_
ing with crew and guests.

1.6"7 Emergency mode

In an emergency the consumers
listed will have to be supplied,

as

Sufficient spare capacity should be

part of the design to allorv starting

of the largest emergency pump and

distribution losses.

The resultjng expectec electrjcal

loads are sno,.,- ^ r^e exanple

of the load baia^ce in the column

When sailing there are two modes:

Although not obvious, a small sailing boat will also require a load balance of some sort.
