Library Assistant/Technology in Education Assistant
- Provided in-depth, multi-department support after hours and on weekends while providing
excellent customer service, promoting team work, and maintaining the image of the Library
and the University.
- Assumed the role of Team Leader and Emergency Response Coordinator in scheduled and
unscheduled absence of immediate supervisor in which case 2 employees were under
supervision.
- Position was the after-hours (5 pm and later) and weekend liaison for the Technology in
Education Consult (TEC) Team and provided technical help and troubleshooting for
wireless and proxy accounts, access to software and resources in the library and from
home, and provided technical assistance to co-workers.
- Assisted patrons with reference access, including but not limited to: access to online and
physical collections, instruction on how to search databases for citations and articles,
helping to broaden or focus research, and troubleshooting citation and bibliographic
applications.
- Booked and managed study room reservations for students, staff and faculty, handled
logistics in the event of emergency reservations and/or conflicts.
- Worked with the Technology in Education manager to oversee and implement learning
modules for Circulation Staff to increase understanding and knowledge of technology in
education.
