Precautions when using RCP

When RCP is being used, the DT series cannot work (for example, the data collection function doesnt work).
Namely, only RCP can be used.
The DB gateway cannot be used simultaneously.
The 2-port function cannot be used simultaneously.
When the COM ports are used on VT3 series, VCP can be created at PORT2 or PORT3, but not at PORT4.
When VT3 series use the MultiTalk function, VCP is created for PLC_A.
Communication parameters that cannot be supported by the VCP communication standard cannot be used.
Delay may occur when VCP data and control line information are sent via serial/USB/Ethernet.
The detection of break signal is not supported, thus applications that are used to detect break signal cannot be used.
2-port adapter (MT-T1/T3) cannot be installed between PLC and RCP destination devices.

Connection Test
Using Ping and Tracert to troubleshoot the connection of a connection destination. The Ping and Tracert
executed from the Communication Test dialog box functions the same as the Ping and Tracert executed using the

Ping:

It works by sending an IP packet to the specified IP address and waiting for a reply. In this way, the
connection with the connection destination is troubleshoot. In addition, Ping is used to display the
responding time and packet loss, which are used for determining the transmission speed to the
connection destination.

Tracert:

A utility that traces a packet from one host to another. Used to determine how many routers are
required for the packet to reach the connection destination. You can use Tracert to figure out where
the longest delays are occurring on the path.

Click Connection Test button.
