Parts Employee
of the Month

The Parts Elevator has
been one of Street Volkswagens
greatest key players since the
dealership opened.

The Parts Elevator, or
better known as Lifty is one
of our oldest and most loyal
employees we have back here,
says Kelley Pope, Parts Manager. We can always depend
on Lifty to get the job done.

Lifty has one hard job but has never been shy to
perform even when the load gets a bit too heavy.

Lifty enjoys sitting and waiting for Megan and
Jeremy to load a few parts so he can do what he does
best, lift. He can now lift 5,000 lbs. Stop by and say hello
to Lifty during your lunch break!

Do you have some news? Have an event coming up? Is it something you
want others to know about? Please let David or Sindy know so your news is
published in the next issue of our company newspaper.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude

to all the employees here at the dealership.
This dealership would not be the dealership
it is without you. Thank you for being patient
and willing to work with us while Volkswagen
continues to put its customers and employees
first when determining the best solution to the
diesel emissions problems weve come across.
Id also like to extend a big congratulations to
everyone here because we were selected as one of the Chambers Top
Emerging Businesses in Amarillo. Thank you and continue to be rock stars!

Employee News & Updates Keeping Your Brain Going

is the Key to Success

Fit im Buro (Fit in the Office with Sindy)

So when David approached be about an employee newsletter a few weeks ago, I thought that was
an awesome idea. Little did I know when I was throwing out suggestions for newsletter ideas that
David would assign this section to me? LOL

LEASE A
NEW 2016

Volkswagen Jetta 1.4T S Auto

$225*

3 years ago I decided that being 200 lbs and pushing size 18 womens clothing was not a good
thing. I hated the word Diet, it meant I would be giving up my right to eat hamburgers, pasta,
chips and drinking pop. All the things Ive been enjoying are the things that could actually hurt me.
It wasnt another failed Diet I needed to do, but a choice of eating Healthy.

Per Month
48-Month Lease
WAC - 1st Payment Down

Excludes title, tax, options and dealer fees. Gas models only. Excludes Hybrid models

Lease a 2016 Jetta 1.4T S Auto for $225* a month. 48-month lease, First payment due
at signing. (Excludes title, tax, options and dealer fees. Gas models only. Excludes Hybrid
models). See a Sales Manager for more information.

With determination, eating healthy and walking 6 miles 3 times a week I dropped 45 lbs and 10
dress sizes. But like all good things comes a crash endingI am human, life got in my way and
exercising got put aside and I began to revert back to old habits.

Offer for Employees Only | Offer ends December 31, 2015

With all that being said, I need to step up to the plate and practice what I preach! This little
segment of our newsletter will feature a few healthy eating tips and a monthly challenge. The
challenge can be one you choose to do on your own or get with another employee, friend or
spouse to help you be accountable.
Two Challenges this month for help us get started on a healthier lifestyle. First will be to drink more
water. How much you ask, a simple equation to help adults figure their water intake is that for every
pound of body weight, you need about half an ounce of water per day. For instance, if you weigh
140 lbs., simply multiply 140 by .5 to estimate your daily fluid needs in ounces, then divide by eight
to estimate your fluid needs in cups per day, rounding up to the nearest full cup. [example: 140
x .5 = 70 ounces; 70 ounces divided by 8 = 9 cups of fluid per day] 0.5 ounces x Body Weight in
Pounds = Daily Fluid Requirement in ounces

Second challenge for this month will be Abs & Squats. Follow this chart or stop by my desk and I will provide you with a full size chart if you are up for
the challenge. Please feel free to let me know your health and fitness story and we can feature you one month!!!

OF EMPLOYEES FOR GREAT DEALS

Beverlys Bckerei - Turtle Cake

Begin by freezing caramel & chocolate baking chips. Mix cake as directed
on box, when completed add frozen baking chips, mix together. Coat
skillet with melted butter (can substitute non-stick spray), pour batter into
skillet and bake as directed. While cake is baking, mix chocolate bar and
2/3 if of the jar of caramel ice cream
topping in bowl & microwave until
melted. Make sure to mix together until
smooth. Remove cake from oven when
completed baking, cool 10 minutes and
invert on serving dish. While cake is still
warm, poor topping over cake, covering
evenly. After cake cools completely,
drizzle rest of caramel topping over cake
and sprinkle pecans on top. This is great
with ice-cream!
