Technical skills and CFD: ANSYS CFX 12.1, STARCCM+

CAD: Pro/Engineer Wildfire 5.0
competences Grid Generation: ICEM CFD, ANSYS Turbogrid,
Programming: Matlab/Scilab, Fortran, Mathcad
Operating System: Windows
Office Tools: MS Word, Powerpoint, Excel

Additional information Projects Executed (Academic):

1. Numerical investigation of flow over NACA0012 and NACA4412 airfoils using ICEM and StarCCM+
to study Aerodynamic characteristics (CD, CL, Cp). Various simulations at angle of attack ranging from
-2 to 16 and for various Reynolds number were carried out and different graphs were plotted to study
behaviour of drag, lift and CP.
2. Bluff body Aerodynamics (Flow over a cylinder) at different Reynolds numbers using StarCCM+ to
study various turbulence models, compute frequency of vortices, and angle of separation.
3. 1D Parametric analysis and design a simple turbojet to achieve specific thrust of 4000lbf and plot
an optimization carpet to study behaviour of the turbojet.
4. Solid Modeling and Structural Analysis of Gear Pump Casing (Academic).
5. Design and Fabrication of Automated Material Handling / Transfer system (Academic).
6. This work is based on water quenching process. The gas coming out of gassifier is cooled by
injecting cold water. Grid generation and Numerical investigation of a gassifier quench was carried out
using Gambit 2.4 and Fluent 6.3. For this case k-epsilon turbulence model was used.
