The information in this bulletin is a snapshot of weekly activities in
our church and community. It showcases new events that may not be
present in our monthly newsletter. The Weekly News is also posted on
our website: www.esumc.net along with other news and events.
If you want your activity to be included, please make your

Welcome Visitors!
If this is your first time worshiping with us, we welcome
you. As a church we are committed to Love Jesus Christ and
to Share His Love. We offer three services: 8:30 and 11 a.m.
are traditional, and 9:45 a.m. is contemporary.
~ Our Welcome Center is located in Oberholtzer Hall, the room next to
the sanctuary. Brochures on all our ministries are available there.
~ Our Holy Grounds Café is a place for light refreshments and coffee
from 8:30 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. each Sunday in our Fellowship Hall. The
café provides worshipers with an informal opportunity for fellowship.
~ Our Infant and Toddler Nurseries are available every Sunday from
8 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. They are located on the lower level of the church and
are staffed with our full-time, professional attendants and parent
volunteers.
~ Children's Church for ages four through third grade is offered at the
11 a.m. service and is guided by a parent volunteer. Children will be
dismissed after the Children's Message. Please pick up your children in
the lower level of the church following worship.
Spring Easter Flowers
It’s time to honor or remember your loved ones.
This year a variety of Easter flowers will be used to decorate our
Sanctuary during the Easter Season. Donations will be $6 for each
flower. Flower orders will be limited to the first 60. You may take a
flower following the 11 a.m. Easter Sunday Service.
As an alternative, Memorial and Honorarium donations can be made
toward the Allentown District Youth and Young Adult Ministry.
The order deadline is TODAY

Opportunities to Support and Enhance Worship
Many Thanks Today to Lindsay Randall for playing the timpani and to
the Chancel Choir for extra music during Holy Week! This morning the
Chimers minister at Hamilton Manor, along with the 2nd -3rd grade
Sunday School class. The assistance of Ann Osbun, Chris Perfetti, and
Sue Randall is greatly appreciated.
Maundy Thursday - Pauline Fox will play a meditative piano prelude
at 7:10 p.m. prior to the service at 7:30 p.m. Request your favorite hymns
by contacting foxes@esumc.net, 223-9889 or by using the request form
on the Music bulletin board.
Sunday, April 11 "Voices in Prayer," 10th Annual Cantata during the
8:30 and 11 a.m. services. Songs will focus on prayer themes from
scripture – exuberance and confession, thanksgiving and intercession,
accompanied by 10-piece instrumental ensemble and dance.
Teen and Adult Singers are invited to contact Pauline Fox for cantata
music. The next rehearsal options will be Monday, March 29 and April
5, Wednesday, April 7 from 6:30 - 8 p.m. and Thursday, April 8 from 7-
8:30 p.m. Final rehearsal for all participants is Saturday, April 10 from
10- 11 a.m. Volunteers Needed to assemble costumes for character
roles, to assist with props for Children's Choir, and to prepare publicity.

Annual Fine Art Exhibit is also Sunday, April 11. Teen and adult artists
in the congregation are invited to display their works of painting,
drawing, photography, and sculpture in Fellowship Hall. Now is the time
to reserve a place by contacting Jim Smelt at 424-1764.
2010 Organ Series Concerts - The first event is Sunday, May 9 with an
exciting ensemble of local professional performers in music theater and
jazz. Admission is free and an offering will benefit Family Promise. The
second event is Saturday, June 12 from 5-8:30 p.m., a country theme. All
events are open to the community. Forms for Advertisements printed
in programs are available in Fellowship Hall to invite local businesses to
support these concerts. Also, available are sign-up sheets for volunteer
help during the June 12 event.
Prayer and Praise
If you have a prayer request, please list it either on the prayer sheet in the rear
of the sanctuary or on the back of the friendship pad. Please be sure to include
your name on the request. This aids us in updating our weekly prayer requests.
Confidentiality is very important. We, as a church family, want to honor each
person's right to privacy. Please be mindful of this as you write your requests.

Children's Ministry - Birth to 6th Grade
TONIGHT! Children who attend this evening's Case for Easter with
their parents are invited downstairs for a Veggie Tales movie entitled
The Easter Carol which will be shown in our nursery area.
Second & Third Grade Sunday School Class is at Hamilton Manor
today. Children who do not attend may worship with their families.
Backyard Buddies/Lord's Army Groups: Sign up now for the Family
Potluck and Let Your Talent Show this Tuesday, March 30. Both groups
will be picked up at school as usual; parents can join us at 5 p.m. for

Instructional Basketball for children ages 6 - 12 meets every Monday
from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. The program focuses on
teaching basic skills and sportsmanship in a safe environment.

Youth Ministry - 7th - 12th Grades
Youth Sunday School Classes for all youth in 7th - 12th grades meet
weekly at 11 a.m. in the Youth Room.
Sunday Night Youth Program will meet from 7-8:30 p.m. The evening
will consist of fellowship, worship and message and games.
Thursday Night Bible Studies (small groups) meet weekly. Youth meet
in the Youth Room from 7-7:20 p.m. for fellowship and then break into
small groups for Bible study from 7:30– 8:30 p.m.
J.A.M (7th and 8th grade outreach), an after-school program, meets
every Wednesday, from 2:45-5 p.m. at the church. Church van
transportation from Stroudsburg and JTL schools is available. J.A.M is
a time of games, fellowship, homework, snacks, and weekly Bible lesson.
Permission forms are in the Youth Room or at the Information Center in
Fellowship Hall. Friends are invited!
2010 Summer Mission Trips News - Jr. High Pittsburgh Project Trip
is Monday, July 5 – Friday, July 9. All students going into 7th or 8th
