Theory:
Clipper
The electronic device that is used to limit an Voltage to certain levels is called
a limiter or clipper. It can clip in negative , positive or both alternation of an A.C
Voltage. Clipping circuit are of various types.
1. Series Clipper
2. Parallel Clipper
3. Series bias clipper
4. Parallel bias clipper

Procedure
1.
Connect the circuit using suitable patch cord as shown in circuit diagram.
2.
Apply a Sinusoidal input of 5 volt and 1 kHz. (Use signal Generator for
Sinusoidal input).
3.
Observe the input signal on channel 1 on CRO and out put signal from
circuit on channel 2 on CRO.
4.
Repeat the experiment for different clipping and clamping circuits.

Result
Sketch the wave shape and label the Amplitudes.
Indicate the type of clipping in each case.
Draw transfer characteristics for different clipping and clamping circuits.
