My laptop is brand new & I have only had it for two days. This morning I started receiving an error message
evertime I turn on or restart my laptop. It reads;
Windows Script Host
Can not find script file "C:/Windows/Temp/VAIO Care Rescue Tool.vbs"
This is really upsetting since my laptop is only two days old & the VAIO Care Rescure is very imporatnt if
anything happens to my laptop.
Can someone please advise me on how to fix this issue ASAP.

Hi Christina,
Try disabling the applications at the startup following all the steps mentioned below:
Right click on the Task Bar > Task Manager > Startup tab > Disable unwanted applications.
Next, check if there is any update available regarding your issue on the support page. You can check for the
update by using the exact model 3 of your computer here: http://esupport.sony.com/

I tried this and it worked:

Use notepad to save a blank file named VAIO Care Rescue Tool.vbs (don't forget the .vbs!) to
C:/Windows/Temp.
You may need to show hidden files to see this folder.

Basically, I did the following steps:

1. Open up the "Notepad" program.
2. Don't type anything in, just go to file and choose "Save As".
3. Navigate to the C:/Windows/Temp folder (Computer -> C: -> Windows -> Temp). You may need to show
hidden folders to be able to find the "Temp" folder.
4. Save the file (type in its name as) as "VAIO Care Rescue Tool.vbs" without the quotes. Uncheck the box that
says "Automatic File Extension" if you see it.
That's it! When I restarted my computer next, the message didn't pop up anymore.
