THE POWER OF BLACK

CONSCIOUSNESS
Its time for people of African descent to move from unconsciousness (unawareness
of self and Inappropriate Behavior Patterns*) to a Black consciousness (awareness
of self and success and prosperity). After this change takes place we will be ready
to act with the power that exists in our individual selves and collective group.

The European-created Negro consciousness, which is really unconsciousness, must

die, as we learn to “Know Thy Self” and see ourselves in a context of truth and
defined by scientific natural law that is defined by a new Black consciousness and
not others. African Americans cannot expect to have a sustainable future if we
believe we are something that is a figment of someone else’s imagination.

WHAT “KNOW THY SELF” MEANS

It’s helpful to realize our ancestors avoided the perils of unconsciousness long ago.
“This state of affairs”, they would say, “is due to lack of self-knowledge”.
The ancient proverb, "Know Thy Self", was given overriding consideration when
dealing with worldly matters. It’s been given much attention lately however; little
has been done to understand its true meaning.

A people who don’t know themselves can be fragmented and cannot see themselves
as a group, and in many cases, will not act in their own self interest. Therefore, it
makes sense for those who have lied to and miseducated to study and learn the
critical aspects of their being: People of African descent should study many
aspects of themselves, including:

 Melanin and the benefits of their unique electromagnetic particle connection

to the sun.

 Culture, the customary beliefs, social forms, and material traits of our
being). That includes understanding the mind, body, and spirit realms of
those from whence you came. It means holistically synthesizing and
evaluating their belief systems, the places they lived, what they did, what

they ate, and how they saw themselves relative to God, family, community,
and the world.

In essence, Knowing Thy Self provides a legitimate source of:

1. Consciousness which, leads to Culture

2. Culture which, leads to thoughts.
3. Thoughts which, leads to beliefs.
4. Beliefs which, leads to correct actions.
5. Correct actions which, lead to success and prosperity.

Let’s say it again,

Alignment with consciousness provides the culture that lead to thoughts that
lead to beliefs that lead to correct actions that lead to success and
prosperity.

THE REWARDS OF “BLACK CONSCIOUSNESS”

Black consciousness rewards people of African descent with many benefits,

including:

1. Teaches us to see ourselves as a group. People who don’t see themselves, as a

group won’t act in their own best interest therefore; we must educate
ourselves about our culture. The goal is to change the values of most Black
Americans from individualism, materialism and short-term gratification to
collectivism, freedom and long-term self-sufficiency.
2. Encourages us to share our resources
3. Urges us to pool our economic resources
4. Forces us to work long and hard and to consider deferred gratification
instead of that immediate gratification Lexus, Rolex watch, and/or
condominium.
5. Puts the focus on creating jobs rather than getting jobs; being producers
rather than consumers.

6. Encourages the entrepreneurial spirit - studying business principles and

developing products and/or services that develop our community along with
satisfying demand in the domestic and international markets.
7. Generate thoughts that lead to actions that empower Black Americans.
