Sugar Plum Bag Pattern

Five feminine, frivolous and fun-to-make bags adorable with spring-summer costumes and all amazingly easy to make.
Three have Basket Bag Bottoms (ready-made); all have Drawstring Tops, and all are ready to carry everything that goes
into a lady's purse.
MATERIALS REQUIRED:
DRITZ Luxury Belastraw Art. 110, 1 tube Main Color (MC)

DRITZ Multicolor Belastraw Art. 110-M, 1 tube Multi-pastel (MP) (or Contrasting Color)
DRITZ Basket Bag Bottom No. 263 DRITZ Metal Crochet Hook No. 2
Lining material
GAUGE: 6 sc = 1"
With MC * insert hook through straw basket down from next point and make 3 sc in point, 4 sc in next point. Repeat from *
around having a multiple of 6 sts around. Join with sl st in 1st sc.
1st rnd: Ch 1, dc in same place as sl st, * sc in 5 sc, dc in next sc. Repeat from * around joining last sc in top of 1st dc.
2nd, 3rd and 4th rnds: Ch 1, sc in same place as sl st, sc in each st around. Join. Drop MC, pick up MP and draw through loop on
hook.
5th rnd: * (Yo, insert hook around post of dc 4 rows down and pull loop through to height of loop on hook) 4 times; yo and draw
through all 9 loops on hook (puff st made), skip sc behind puff st, sc in 5 sc. Repeat from * around. Join with sl st in top of 1st puff
st. Drop MP, pick up MC.
6th rnd: Ch 1, sc in same place as sl st, sc in next st, * dc in next st, sc in 5 sts. Repeat from * around ending with sc in last 3 sts.
Join.
7th, 8th and 9th rnds: Repeat 2nd rnd.
10th rnd: Work same as 5th rnd only mak-ing puff sts over corresponding dc's.
11th rnd: Ch 1, sc in same place as sl st, sc in 3 sts, * dc in next st, sc in 5 sts. Repeat from * around ending with sc in last stitch.
Join.
12th, 13th and 14th rnds: Repeat 2nd rnd.
15th rnd: Repeat 10th rnd.
16th to 20th rnds incl: Repeat 1st to 5th rnds incl once more. End off MC.
BEADINGWith MP: Ch 6, skip 3 sc, dc in next sc, * ch 3, skip 3 sc, dc in next sc. Repeat from * around ending with ch 3, join to
3rd st of starting ch-6.
EDGING: Sc in next 6 sts, ch 7, turn, sc in 1st sc made, ch 1, turn, work 12 sc over ch, * sc in next 4 sts, ch 7, turn, skip 2 sc inside
of previous loop, sc in next sc, ch 1, turn, work 12 sc over ch. Repeat from * around, ending with sc in last 2 sts, sl st in 1st 2 sc of
rnd, ch 7, turn and complete loop as before. End off. Line with lining material.
DRAWSTRING (make 2): Cut four 2-yd. strands of MC. Follow directions for Twisted Cord on patternbook page.
