Desperation of a Love Struck Ghost

Moaning Myrtle floated around her bathroom silently moaning to herself. In front of
people and during particularly harsh times Myrtle would moan loudly, but when she was
alone, her moans weren't much more than a whisper. She looked mournfully around with
her ever present slight frown and thought about a topic that had been on the top of her
list for the past seven years of her afterlife.
None other than one Harry Potter. He had been the focus of her mind for a long while
now, even when he was a first year. She had seen the potential for good looks even then
and she had not been mistaken. After Voldemort had been beaten by Harry, as well as the
consequential celebrations afterwords, were threw, Harry had decided, along with
Hermione and Ron, to continue their last year in Hogwarts.
To Myrtle it wasn't fair that she was the one who had sen Harry's future good looks and
was the only one who didn't have some sort of chance with him. It was one of the trains
of thought that threw her into a rage every time she got into it, making her moans sound
almost ravenous. She knew what she was feeling was jealously and she felt she was in
the right to feel so.
She had grown very attached to Harry over the years, no matter the small length of time
Harry had even talked to her without her starting the conversation. With this unrequited
love burdening her, Myrtle was made to watch as he walked throughout his life in
Hogwarts and went through hardship after hardship, as well as relationships.
Myrtle sighed to herself in mournful sadness. Even if she was alive, she wouldn't have
much of a chance. She had no experience in relationships and even then her looks
weren't pleasing enough to catch his attention. Inexplicably, Myrtle all of a sudden felt
really mad.
Her vision became red with rage and envy and she slowly started realizing what she had
gotten so mad about. All of the things in her human life that had led up to her death were
painful memories and all of them she hated. She hated Tom Riddle, she hated Olive
Hornby and she hated that darn Basilisk!
Not Harry though, ah just the thought of Harry had given back her slightly reasonable
train of thought. Her ire towards olive had increased even after death when Olive had
petitioned an exorcism of Myrtle, something that shocked Myrtle greatly. Apparently,
her haunting of Olive had done to good of a job at where it counted. From then on she
was on permanent stay in Hogwarts until her afterlife went away.
Myrtle would probably be satisfied if she were able to get a good kiss from someone. It

was the thing that she obsessed over, being kissed, and was the reason she spent a
creepily amount of time spying on man bathing and flirting with them.
Moaning Myrtle was yanked from her inner turmoil by the sound of her bathroom door
opening. As she started to get herself ready for her dramatic entrance, Myrtle stopped at
the sight of Ginny Weasley.
Still not being seen, Myrtle quickly made herself disappear, a skill that most ghosts had,
but never really used, and she skirted around the red-head. If there was one person she
was the most jealous of it was Ginny.
Excluding the fact that she was alive, something she held jealousy over all people,
Ginny also went out with Harry Potter and was on the Quidditch Team, a sport that
Myrtle had become quite interested in during her times of boredom.
Myrtle! Myrtle! Are you there!? Ginny quietly yelled. Myrtle was surprised, not many
people usually visited her. Still taking advantage of her invisibility, Myrtle made her
way closer to Ginny and could feel the jealousy growing even larger. She had the body
she had always wanted. Not too big in any way, but having enough curves in all the
more desirable areas to come off as cute.
Ginny continued calling out for the 'missing' ghost and walked through the bathroom,
planning on checking out the stalls. Myrtle followed Ginny closely and swept the girl's
body with her envious gaze. With her emotions up to a height never felt before, Myrtle
never noticed that she was coming closer and closer to Ginny. Myrtle was almost laying
on top of Ginny, when she felt the girl stop and tense, before becoming more relaxed.
As Myrtle's emotions still raged on, a feeling of curiosity melded with the envy the
ghost was feeling. She held up her hand and placed it on Ginny's arm, feeling Ginny
react quite dramatically. Ginny, with her eyes wide in fear, slowly started making her
way out, not turning around. Myrtle looked up from her hand to Ginny and felt
something form in her head for the first time since she was alive.
A plan.
Myrtle flew rapidly towards the freaked out girl and pushed one of her non-visible
fingers into Ginny's mouth. Ginny felt an awfully cold feeling enter her mouth and was
unprepared for the sudden surge into her body. What she couldn't see was Myrtle forcing
her way into her body, her spiritual body compressing down into smaller slivers to go
down Ginny's body.
Ginny felt her mouth forced open and could only cringe in disgust and fear as the cold

unhesitatingly made itself home in her stomach.

Ginny sighed relieved as she was able to finally close her mouth, but opened it against to
scream as she felt the cold quickly spread throughout the body. Her arm, previously
being unused, snapped up with a mind of its own and quieted the distraught girl down.
Ginny tried to make a run for it to the Bathroom door, but fell to the ground as she lost
control of her legs in the same manor as her arm.
She felt a pressure behind her eyes, and started shaking and sporadically flailing in
hopes of getting whatever it was out of her. Then, almost as quickly as it had came,
Ginny stopped, panting on the ground of Moaning Myrtle's bathroom, and tried to make
her way towards the sink, unsteadily walking onto her legs.
The girl stumbled for a second, fortunately grabbing hold of the sink to hold herself up,
and brought her gaze onto the face in the mirror. Her hands released their grip on the
sink and attached themselves to her face, molding it and feeling the flesh underneath the
nerve-endings.
Ginny gave a slightly evil and satisfactory grin and said, Sorry Ginny, I'm in the drivers
seat right now! The bathroom was then filled with, not the usual moans, but a
victorious laugh.
An: Yeah! First chapter of my first (hopefully) two-shot. This was an idea that had
from reading this amazing book, Breath A Ghost Story and it has been circulating
in my head since, and no amount of banging my head against the wall would help! I
have no idea when I will post the next chapter for this, and I don't expect this to go
very far, but oh well. So, yeah, tell me how you like it! Good bye!
