This class has an effective and realistic approach toward learning self-defense tactics and aware-

An Adventure for Boys
Located on 600 acres on the shores of beautiful Torch Lake, YMCA Camp Hayo-Went-
Ha has 105 years of tradition and experience to provide incredible adventures campers
remember for a lifetime.
Our camp motto, Each for All...All for Each is evident in all we do. The cabin group is
the essence of the camping experence. Boys learn to work together, to support each other
and to respect what each member of the cabin has to offer. The wonderful variety of
camp trips reinforce the value of teamwork.
Camp Hayo-Went-Ha offers age appropriate adventure programs that last either two
or four weeks. Meet the challenge of extended canoeing and hiking trips to Michigan’s
north country, the Canadian wilderness or biking the wooded hills of the Upper Pen-
insula, all the while learning to appreciate the beauty that surrounds you. Live amongst
tall pines and white birches, visit Buell Chapel and be a part of the great spirit that makes
YMCA Camp Hayo-Went-Ha a special place.

Gaylord. We can host up to 60 people in the cooler months and up to 150 in the warmer
months. Camp Arbutus Hayo-Went-Ha on the shores of Arbutus Lake is located on 135
acres of rolling hills and wooded trails just 10 miles outside of Traverse City, MI. A fully
modern lodge built in 2004 can comfortably host 80 people year-round. A perfect place for
meetings and relaxing!
