PREFACE
Projects undertaken by students as a part of their academic career helps them to improve
their knowledge as well as experience regarding various aspects. Projects helps the
students to show their talents and skills and also helps them to learn about the awareness
of various new concepts practically which would have not been clearly understood
theoretically.
I was assigned to work in Guwahati

I was assigned to work in Guwahati Refinery (IOCL) to do a detailed study and prepare a
project report regarding the subject A Study on Employee Satisfaction With respect To
Quality of HR Services at Guwahati Refinery (IOCL) in Assam which is a part of my
MBA 3rd semester curriculum. This project stresses on exploring the satisfaction level of
the employees with regards to various HR services provided by Guwahati Refinery
(IOCL) located in Noonmati, Guwahati, Assam.
In order to make the data and findings easily understandable, efforts have been made to
present the information in a simplified and organized manner. This project has been very
much helpful in gaining practical knowledge on various aspects which will be helpful for
me in the future. Further, the findings and recommendations I believe will be very
beneficial to the organization.

Industrial training is an integral part of any management program. I feel extremely lucky
that I got the opportunity to do the training in one of the largest and most popular oil
sector company, Indian Oil Corporation Limited.
I take the opportunity to express my gratitude to all of them, who helped me to accomplish
this challenging project in Indian Oil Corporation Limited. I wish to express my deepest
sense of gratitude towards our respected mentor, Miss. Ankita Srivastava, Chief HR
Manager Guwahati Refinery. I would also like to thank the employees of Guwahati
Refinery for sharing their insights with me and helping me in completion of the project. I
have received enormous inputs and inspiration in various stages of my project from them.
