for Dean’s List student

ver two decades ago, Renee Willey
stepped into elementary algebra,
her first course at GRCC.
In that time she has
managed to raise a family, work full time
outside her home, be in the National Honors
Society, on the Dean’s List, and also be put
on financial aid suspension.
Willey applied for financial aid for the
first time in 2008 and was told she had too
many credits for the time she was in school.
“Because I have a lot of credits, my
financial aid for 2008-2009 was denied,” Ryan Tyrell/Collegiate

Willey wrote a letter to appeal the
