(Although initially may not appear as transformation of the above lesson alone, the
transformation lies within what students do with the bowl, other than just create it for a
community event.-one lesson within a unit of study focusing on the big idea of Community.
The lesson I created was inspired by this lesson:

accessing content through digital media, visual

media, maybe through printed text, and sometimes
through audio or touch. Leaners have preferences
on how they would like to access the content.

engage

describes how each

learner engages
with content and

concepts using multiple strategies and tools

that will keep his or her interest and encourage
ownership of learning. Learners think deeper
about the concept or content by problem
solving and collaborating.

Who are YOU as a learner?

expr ess

is how each learner

understand through actions, such as writing,

acting, presenting, building, drawing, or
sharing. In the end, expression is about giving
learners voice and choice in how they
demonstrate what they know and understand.
