Connecting to an
external battery
cabinet
Built-in PSUs
Built-in PMU
The embedded AC/DC power system supports 220 V AC singlephase, 220 V AC three-phase, and 110 V/120 V AC dual-live-wire
power inputs.
Distributing AC power
After going through the EPU, one AC power input is divided into
two AC power outputs:
l One output provides AC power for the service outlet unit (SOU).
l One is connected to the junction box on the left side of the
cabinet and divided into four AC power outputs, which are then
provided for the heater or heating film.
Distributing DC power
Dissipating heat
Grounding mode
The general ground cable for the cabinet and the ground cables for
devices in the cabinet are all connected to the ground bar in the
cabinet.

(Ver.D1&Ver.D2)
product description
In the APM30H:
l
If an AC heater or an SOU is not configured and one BBU is installed, 5 U space is provided
for customer equipment.
Dimensions
The width is 19 inch.
The depth of the customer equipment which uses natural ventilation or supports heat
dissipation from left to right, is less than or equal to 280 mm (11.02 in.). The depth of
the customer equipment which supports heat dissipation from front to rear, is less than
250 mm (9.84 in.).
The cabling space in front of the front panel is less than or equal to 100 mm (3.94 in.).
Heat dissipation
If the customer equipment is configured with fans, the fans must dissipate heat out from
left to right or from front to rear.
If the customer equipment is not configured with fans but use natural ventilation, at
least 1 U space must be reserved above and below the installed devices to dissipate heat
from the cabinet.

Junction Box
Both APM30H and TMC11H are configured with a junction box, which feeds power into the
heater or heating film.
NOTE
l The EPU subrack feeds power into the junction box in the APM30H. The power is divided into four
AC power outputs, which are then provided for the heater in the cabinet or heating film in the
IBBS200D.
l The junction box in the APM30H feeds power into the junction box in the TMC11H. The power is
divided into four AC power outputs, which are then provided for the heater or service outlet unit (SOU)
in the cabinet.
Exterior
The junction box is installed on the inside of the left wall of the APM30H or TMC11H. Figure

product description
If the customer equipment is not configured with fans but use natural ventilation, at
least 1 U space must be reserved above and below the installed devices to dissipate heat
from the cabinet.

product description
NOTE
The DCDU-12B uses the equipotential connection point and ground point in the following scenarios:
l Scenario 1: The DCDU-12B is installed on an open subrack. An equipotential cable connects the
equipotential connection point near the mounting ear of the DCDU-12B to the ground bar of the open
rack.
l Scenario 2: The DCDU-12B is installed on a wall as a standalone power distribution device. The ground
point at the rear of the DCDU-12B is connected to the ground bar in the cabinet.
Functions
The DCDU-12B provides ten -48 V DC outputs using same fuse configurations to meet the
power distribution requirements of different distributed base stations.

product description
Functions
The heating film functions in the low-temperature environment to provide the suitable storage
and working temperature for the batteries. When the working temperature is lower than the
temperature specification of the batteries, the battery capacity declines. Therefore, the heating
film is installed to provide the optimal working temperature for the batteries.
Technical Specifications
The technical specifications of a heating film are as follows:
l
The heating film uses the AC power and its rated voltage and rated power are 220 V AC
and 100 W.
The heating film starts to work when the operating temperature is lower than 1oC6oC
(33.8oF42.8oF) and stops working when the operating temperature is higher than 15oC
3oC (59oF37.4oF).

product description
5.4.1 TEC
The TEC ensures the normal operation of the IBBS200T in high-temperature areas and dissipates
heat for the batteries.
Exterior
Figure 5-3 shows the exterior of the TEC.
Figure 5-3 Exterior of the TEC
Functions
The functions of the TEC are as follows:
l
If there is a sun shield, and the ambient temperature is 50oC (122oF) without solar radiation,
the TEC ensures that the temperature is equal to or less than 40oC (104oF) in the cabinet
when batteries are in float charge and equal to or less than 45oC (113oF) when the batteries
are in boost charge.
If there is no sun shield, and the ambient temperature is 50oC (122oF) with solar radiation
of 1120 W/m2, the TEC ensures that the temperature is equal to or less than 45oC (113oF)
in the cabinet when batteries are in float charge and equal to or less than 50oC (122oF) when
the batteries are in boost charge.
If the ambient temperature is 32oC (89.6oF), and there is no temperature difference between
the air intake vent at the hot and cold sides of the TEC, the refrigeration power of the TEC
is equal to or more than 190 W10% and the COP is equal to or more than 0.5.
