rigorous, internationally conducted admissions process that included

Selected through the most rigorous


admission procedure, the participants
ofIIMAsPGPgothroughathoroughly

experience during their two years on
campus. The PGP constantly strives to
remainonthecuttingedgeofmodern
management education, instilling
teamwork, a global focus, an ability to
innovateandaboveall,anuninching
stressonexcellenceinitsstudents.The
curriculum exposes the students to a
number of real life situations and
contemporary tools of analysis that
havebeenperfectedthroughthecase
method of pedagogy. The PGP class
representsarichgamutofsocio-cultural
and educational backgrounds, in
addition to a healthy mix of fresh
graduates and candidates with prior
work experience. They choose diverse
career interests ranging from Finance,
Marketing, Consulting, Technology,
General Management, Policy Making
and even Non-Prot Sectors. Recent

been consistently ranked Number One in Agribusiness and Food Industry
ManagementprogrammesintheWorldbyEduniversal,France.Theprogram
hasevolvedtobecomealeaderinagribusinessmanagementandgoalisto
remainapremierprogrammeineducatingthesectorsdecision-makers.The
programme provides comprehensive exposure to the managerial concepts,
tools,andtechniquesrequiredbythefoodandagribusinesssectorandprepare
students for management positions in this increasingly complex eld. The
programme also exposes students to the rural environment, society and
institutionsthroughaninnovativeRuralImmersionmoduleinwhichstudents
spendabout4weeksintypicalruralareasandundertakeliveprojects.

FPM
TheFellowProgrammeinManagement(FPM)isthedoctoralprogrammeof
the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. The objective of the
programmeistoprovidestudentswithnecessaryskillstoidentifyandconduct
researchoncomplexissuesintheeldofmanagement.
Courseworkintherstyearprovidesageneralmanagementoverviewand
develops basic skills to analyse managerial problems. In the second year,
studentstakeadvanceddoctorallevelcoursesintheirareasofspecialization.
Thedoctoraldissertation,overthenextcoupleofyears,providesthemwithan
opportunitytomakeoriginalcontributiontoanareaofmanagementortoone
ofitssourcedisciplines.
Theprogrammeisstronglycommittedtopreparingthoughtleadersbothfor
the academic and corporate world. IIMAs world-renowned faculty brings
relevantmanagerialissuesintotheclassroomandintheirresearch,creatingan
