A CASE STUDY OF A DISABLE PERSON IN

PANCHED VILLEGE:

This is a case study of a disable person whom I met in Panched village of Ratlam district
of MP. Everybody have a perception that a disable person lives with great discomfort
both economically and physically. But after met him my perception have changed. He
comes from a poor family. He lost his father in his young age but he doesn’t give up his
confidence. He has fought against discomforts and poverty with great bravery. I select
this case study because after read this some disable person may get some confidence and
enthusiasm in life for achieving their own goal.

A HERO IN REAL LIFE


He is the head of his family. His brother works in agriculture land as a labor.

TYPES OF DISABILITY: Osteological Disorder.

HISTORY BEHIND THIS MISHAP: When he was 5 yrs old some unknown disease
affected him. He recovered from the disease but lost his left legs due to use of wrong
injection in wrong site. In his school days he have been felling lonely. But with changing
of time his life also change. He has tried to adjust himself with the outside world.

EDUCATION: He is a graduate of B.A. from RATLAM DISTRICT COLLEGE. He has


also done a Professional course on computer. When I was chatting with him I astonished
to hear that in spite of this great discomfort he go to Ratlam for his study which is not
nearby. After getting his degree he started welling cycle and supervises in his agricultural
land.
SOURCE OF INCOME:
1. Agriculture: His income comes from agricultural. He has 3 acres of land. He cultivate
paddy for two times in a yr. from agricultural his yearly income is 1.20lacks (apax)

2. Livestock: Two layer birds and 10 chicks. He uses the eggs for his own consumption.
He also has a buffalo which gives 1.5 lit milk per day. Of this he consumes 0.5 lit and
rest he sells out side.
He also gets disable pension of Rs 500/month from govt. (panchayat office).
He also earn about Rs25 / day by welling.

EXPENDITURE: Agricultural Cultivation’s Rs60 thousands (aprx) per annum.


Expenditure on food: Rs30000 per annum. Medicine: Rs1200 per annum.

He doesn’t remember his daily income and expenditure. When I asked him about his
expenditure he said it grossly.

EVERY DAY LIFE: He wakes up at 6 a.m. and goes to market for grocery shopping
and others daily accessories. After that he takes some food and goes to agricultural field.
There he supervises the labors working in his field. At afternoon he backs home and takes
his lunch. After taking some rest he again goes to field continuing his work till darkness
comes. In evening he teaches his son and read books on agriculture. Then after taking
dinner he goes to bed and likewise his life cycle is continuing.

ENJOYMENT IN LIFE: He don’t get enough time for enjoyment but when get time he
try to spend time by collecting new information about agricultural techniques to upgrade
his knowledge. During festival time he visits his relative house (fathers in law).

VIEW ABOUT DEVELOPMENT: Increasing living stander, income.

ONE CHANGE HE LIKES TO SEE: He likes to bye a scooter. He also wants a


grocery shop nearby his house so that he can easily purchase necessary commodities.
