A. ACTIVITIES:
Activity No.1: Site tours and observations to:
1. Chowking Commissary, Paraaque City;
2. Teleperformance, Paraaque City
Activity No.2: Dialogue or Q&A on Production/Operations, logistics & supply chain management
practices.
Activity No.3: Documentation of observations and dialogue
B. REQUIRED OUTPUTS:
For Activity No.1: To observe and write findings on the following:
1. On Forecasting
How is the company forecasting? Per month, per quarter, per annum?
What forecasting technique/s is/are being used by each company?
2. On Product/Service Design
1-2 characteristics of Service Design by Teleperformance;
Complexity or simplicity of Teleperformances Service Design.
3. On Process Design and Process Selection (If applicable and if observable only)
Is there a production and material supply scheduling matrix?
Are there production lines?
Types of machines being used? Common type or sophisticated?
What layout has been used? Product layout, process layout or combination layout?
Describe the production process: manually done or semi-computerized or highly
mechanical?
Is there a production and material supply scheduling matrix?
Is there any quality control section?
How is the quality control being done? Manually or mechanical or none?
Volume of daily, weekly monthly and annual production
How are products being packed? Manually or mechanically done?
What are the processes being employed by each company?
Are the processes being employed by each company appropriate to its product/service?
4. On Capacity Planning
Factors that could affect production/operations capacity of each company?
Ways to possibly increase each of the companys capacity.
5. On Locations Planning (If applicable and if observable only)
Factors that may have been considered by the companies in its decision to locate the
plant/department.
6. On Facility Layout (If applicable and if observable only)
What layout design/s has been used by each of the company?
What are the factors that may have affected the companies decision on layout?

7. On Inventory and Supply Chain Management


A. Stocks receiving process from SUPPLIERS (If applicable and if observable only)
Is there any parking area for company delivery vehicles?
How are the entrances designed?
How is the security system? With security guards or CCTV?
How are products being received from its suppliers?
Are the inventories properly arranged?
How are materials being arranged?
What inventory management is being adopted?
Are raw materials with proper labels?
Is there any unique process or technology being used in the stocks receiving such as Radio
Frequency Identification?
B. Warehousing system (If applicable and if observable only)
Are the companies visited have the same style and layout of warehouse?
Is there any special lighting required in warehousing the products?
Is there any required ventilation or level of humidity required in the warehousing of the
products?
C. Distribution / delivery system of finished goods to CUSTOMERS (If applicable and if
observable only)
How are finished goods being dispatched? The procedures involved?
How are exits designed? With dispatcher, security guards or CCTV?
Are finished goods packages? What materials were used in the packaging? How was it
packed? Individual or by batch? Labeled or not?

8. Environmental management practices (If applicable and if observable only)
What are the internal and external solid waste management activities of the company?
How is the company collecting its wastes?
What is/are the solid waste disposal practice/program/technique of the company?

What is/are the clean air practice/program/technique of the company?
Activity No. 2: To interact and clarify with the company representatives on any of the topics
presented above. The questions below may also be asked to supplement learning:
