Presente Continuo:
El Presente Continuo o Presente Progresivo es un tiempo verbal que se
utiliza para expresar acciones que suceden en el mismo momento en que se
est hablando.
[SUJETO] + am/are/is (verbo to be) + [ VERBO CON -ING ( gerundio)]
Como norma general para formar el gerundio en ingls se aade "-ing".
Aunque hay que tener en cuenta unas consideraciones:
Se sustituye la terminacin "-ie" por "-ying".
Se sustituye la "-e" final por "-ing".
Ejemplos:
Presente Perfecto:
El Presente Perfecto en el idioma ingls es un tiempo verbal que se utiliza
para referirnos a acciones que suceden en un pasado reciente y que
guardan alguna relacin con el presente. Su equivalente en el idioma
espaol es el Pretrito Perfecto.
Pasado:
Las oraciones en pasado simple en ingls, son aquellas oraciones que en su
predicado, contienen un verbo conjugado en el tiempo pasado simple. Esta
conjugacin se utiliza para hablar de una accin que comenz y concluy en
el pasado.
En ingls existen los verbos regulares y los irregulares. Los primeros
son aquellos que tienen una estructura determinada, por lo cual es sencillo
aprender a conjugarlos, en pasado slo se les agrega una ed o una d al
verbo en infinitivo, sin embargo, los verbos irregulares no se conjugan todos
de la misma forma, por lo que es importante aprender a identificarlos y
memorizar su conjugacin.
[SUJETO] + [VERBO EN PASADO, TERMINACIN "-ed"]
Ejemplos:
He did the homework
He was playing soccer
She went to Italy
I played in classes
The birthday was
She played with her cousin
We did not do the job
They participated in an activity
She lost the race
Pasado Continuo:
El pasado continuo se utiliza para acciones que ocurrieron en un
momento especfico en el pasado. Como el presente continuo, se forma con
el verbo auxiliar to be y el gerundio.
El Pasado Continuo, es un tiempo verbal que describe acciones que estaban
siendo realizadas en un momento del pasado al que se hace referencia y
que luego continuaron.
[SUJETO] + was/were + [VERBO con terminacin -ing (gerundio)]
Ejemplos:
Pasado Perfecto:
Se utiliza para referirnos a una accin que tuvo lugar en un momento
anterior
a
otra
accin,
aunque
ambas
hayan
sucedido
en
el pasado estableciendo
un
orden
entre
ellas
Sujeto + verbo auxiliar "to have" conjugado en pasado simple ( HAD
) + verbo principal en pasado participio + complemento
Ejemplos:
The film had finished when she arrived at the cinema.
La pelcula haba terminado cuando ella lleg al cine.
(Primera accin: la pelcula haba terminado
Segunda accin: ella lleg al cine)
Sarah had prepared dinner when her husband got home.
Sarah haba preparado la cena cuando su esposo lleg a casa.
(Primera accin: Sarah haba preparado la cena
Segunda accin: su esposo lleg a casa)
She had driven too many hours previous to visit her aunt.
We had photographed the model previous she comes fat.
They had seen many matches before begin the training.
Mary Ann had not arrived to the party until Bob go for her.
She had sewn her own skirts since she was a child.
We had traveled to California before go to Texas.
Greg, you had not won the race before, till you become the training with
Carl Lewis.
Had your aunt eaten hot chili any time before we go to Mexico?

perfect tense.
Modales:
Los verbos modales son verbos auxiliares que no pueden funcionar como
un
verbo
principal,
a
diferencia
de
los
verbos
auxiliares be, do y have que s pueden funcionar como un verbo
principal.
could
may
might
shall
should
will
would
must
ought
En una frase o una pregunta, un verbo modal siempre est seguido por un
verbo principal en su forma base (base form), con una excepcin: el verbo
modal ought est seguido por un verbo principal en su forma
infinitiva(infinitive form).
Ejemplos:
They can swim 8 miles. = ellos pueden nadar 8 millas.
She can climb the stairs = ella puede subir las escaleras
Modals can make better your texts.
The may show people with a rich speech.
