TITLE: Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction Preparedness Training
PROJECT PROPOSED: Barangay Council
BENEFICIARIES: 60 Participants (4Ps, Senior Citizens, Youth Task
Force, Barangay
Officials & Volunteers, & Residents)
PROPOSED IMPLEMENTATION: Two (2) days, June 15 & 16, 2015 @
8:00 am - 5:00 pm
PROJECT COST: P 25,000.00
SOURCE OF FUND: Barangay Annual Budget CY 2015 (BDRRM
Budget)
JUSTIFICATIONS
GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
In compliance to R.A. 10121, AN ACT STRENGTHENING THE PHILIPPINE
DISASTER RISK REDUCTION AND MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, PROVIDING FOR THE
NATIONAL DISASTER RISK REDUCTION AND MANAGEMENT FRAMEWORK, AND
INSTITUTIONALIZING THE DISASTER RISK REDUCTION AND MANAGEMENT PLAN,
APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES, the Barangay
Council through the Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction Management and 4Ps
Pantawid Pamilya shall gather to develop policies, plans and implementation of
DRR and shall focus of the following to reduce risk:

Reduce underlying causes of risks (vulnerability & risk assessment)
Emphasis on preparedness for effective response and recovery

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:
The Barangay Council aims to attain the ff. objectives:

1. Equip each participant with proper training in Disaster Risk

Preparedness/Reduction Management to be partners of BDRRM Team;
2. Acquire better understanding of Climate Change;
3. Involvement of the constituents in disaster and risk mapping, preparation,
rescue and recovery;
4. Participation in Zumba/Hataw dance as health risk preparedness
management; and
5. To appreciate nutritious unity meal from the harvests in our barangay
community garden.
