Through the success of my book Voices of Latin
Rock, which was well received and applauded
in the publishing industry, we put together an
annual Latin Rock Concert, which benefited
one of my favourite charities. Our initial concert
in 2004, with some top artists including Carlos
Santana, held six hundred people in the
audience, based at historic Bimbo’s nightclub
in San Francisco, which raised thousands of
dollars for the charity, to our most recent
concert which this year (2009) was held at The
Warfield Theatre, San Francisco to an audience
of two thousand, with major lea
gue artists including Sheila E, War and other
major Latin Artists.
