Accomplishments:

Hired to create the Information Technology Department from the ground up. This
included but was not limited to hiring a staff, creating policies, designing and building the
campus network and telecommunications infrastructure, creating a new server farm with
all the appropriate and necessary hardware and software, and creating a help desk with all
the appropriate support policies before classes started in August 2005. All tasks were
successfully accomplished on-time.
Oversaw the successful replacement of the student information system, financial system,
and development system with a new fully integrated ERP software system
Improved our campus network by adding campus wide wireless including support for
Bring Your Own Devices. Drove the enhancement of cyber security by adding
multiple layers of hardware and software protection.
Stayed under budget every year and found new ways to upgrade and improve technology
while reducing costs
Lead the successful automation of the bookstore, dining services, point of sale operations,
mail room, billable print control services for the managing of all copiers on campus for
billing student use, ID card system including automated access control and security
cameras with video storage/retrieval

Oversaw design and installation of classroom audio-visual equipment, and migrated all
current sound equipment from analog to digital to conserve man-hours during large
events like commencement
Helped oversee construction of the 100,000+ square foot student life multipurpose

Accomplishments:

Centralized data processing for the corporation. Replaced four computer systems and
three different software packages with a central computer system and a new ERP
software package that would serve multiple subsidiaries and locations.
Designed and implemented a LAN/WAN strategy that would connect all locations to the
central office, grow with the corporation, and handle any future acquisitions. Designed
and implemented a successful strategy for bringing new acquired plants online in less
than 60 days.
Justified replacing multiple payroll systems with a new centralized payroll and human
resources system on the in-house computer system. Found and implemented a solution to
print laser payroll checks with MICR and replaced all preprinted forms with laser printed
forms.
Standardized and upgraded all voice telephony equipment and services
Consistently worked to reduce rates and expenses and to upgrade technology whenever
possible earning a Presidents Cost Improvement Award for cutting more than $100,000
in expenses.
