Why are you running?

I am a lifelong resident of our great city, as a


School Committee member I have
advocated and seen the impact that
effective programs can have on our
children. I believe our schools can do more
and as a School Committee Member, I ask
for the honor of continuing the efforts I
have initiated.

I AM ADVOCATING FOR :

School Safety. We need to


continue to improve safety
features and upgrade
equipment in each of our
school buildings to ensure
students and staff continue
to feel safe.
Academic Excellence. We need to
continue to ensure relevant and
rigorous course work for all
students..
Accountability and
Transparency. Parents and
Taxpayers must be included
in our shared vision of
success which needs to
include all evidence of
achievements and
challenges.

I am running for School Committee because
as a professional educator, former School
Committee Member, and community
organizer I am committed to improving the
Worcester Public Schools. In the past two
years Worcester Public Schools has been
through changes, as a common sense
official I will be proactive in maintaining
local control to ensure Worcester as a leader
in educational excellence.

Why are you running?

As a parent of a child in the Worcester


Public School I see have seen great
potential but also areas that need
improvements . I want to see changes
made so that my children and all the
children of Worcester have opportunities to
strive for greatness

A concise school by school
safety plan that includes

Why are you running?


I am running for school committee because
I have the passion and the experience to
make a difference in the lives of our
students and their families. I know that our
children make up 30% of the population
but 100% of our future.

I AM ADVOCATING FOR :
school safety we must do
everything possible to
maintain safe schools
rigorous curriculum all of our
children need to be exposed to a
challenging curriculum and on
the secondary level be exposed to
additional ap courses
emphasis on early learning
prek to grade three we
have a high percentage of
students not reading on
grade level by the end of
grade threetherefore we
need to strongly address
this issue

There's still so much to do! We need solid,


well-informed advocacy for Worcester at
the state and federal level, and we need to
gain rather than lose ground on the good
work we're doing here in our schools.

the overdue overhaul of the


foundation budget (which
provides 2/3rds of the
funding for the Worcester
Public Schools

a critical eye to state and federal


mandates, particularly with
regard to testing
a tireless defense of local
voices and power in running
our local school system
