Battery World Autism Scholarships

The Battery World Autism Scholarships have been made possible via a generous
donation from Battery World to the Cooperative Research Centre for Living with Autism
Spectrum Disorders (Autism CRC) to support clinicians or recent graduates to undertake
the Graduate Certificate in Autism Diagnosis. This course is run primarily in an online
format at the University of Western Australia. The $4,000 scholarships are provided to
assist in covering the costs of the Graduate Certificate, such as by covering enrolment
fees, travel to and accommodation in Western Australia for onsite workshops/training, or
associated study costs.
To be eligible for the scholarships, applicants must successfully enrol in the Graduate
Certificate in Autism Diagnosis, meeting the criteria set by the University of Western
Australia. Applications for February 2016 intake are open from 28 September 31
October. Please note that applications for the scholarships are made directly to Autism
CRC. Details about the application process are listed below.
There will be up to four scholarships provided by Autism CRC for the 2016 course intake.
Two of these will be specifically targeted to health professionals in rural/regional or
remote areas of Australia. Battery World and Autism CRC are keen to ensure that
professionals for whom the certificate is relevant, have equitable access wherever they
are in Australia. This will assist us to ensure excellent diagnostic practices can be
provided irrespective of families geographic location in Australia.
