The Creation And All Things of the Earth

Genesis 1
1
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth 2

was without form, and void; and darkness was[a] on the face of the
deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
9
Then God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered
together into one place, and let the dry land appear”; and it was so. 10

And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the
waters He called Seas. And God saw that it was good.
11
Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields
seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose
seed is in itself, on the earth”; and it was so. And the earth brought
12

forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the
tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And
God saw that it was good. So the evening and the morning were the
13

third day.
16
Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day,
and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also. God 17

set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth, 18

and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light
from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. So the evening
19

and the morning were the fourth day.

22
And God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the
waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.” So the
23

evening and the morning were the fifth day.

24
Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth the living creature
according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth,
each according to its kind”; and it was so. And God made the beast
25

of the earth according to its kind, cattle according to its kind, and
everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind. And God saw
that it was good.
26
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our
likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the
birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all[b] the earth and over every
creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His
27

own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He
created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be
28

fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over
the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing
that moves on the earth.”
29
And God said, “See, I have given you every herb that yields seed
which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields
seed; to you it shall be for food.
Genesis 13:16
16
And I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth; so that if
a man could number the dust of the earth, then your descendants also
could be numbered.

Exodus 9:15-17
15
Now if I had stretched out My hand and struck you and your people
with pestilence, then you would have been cut off from the earth. 16

But indeed for this purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My
power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth. As 17

yet you exalt yourself against My people in that you will not let them
go.

29
So Moses said to him, “As soon as I have gone out of the city, I will
spread out my hands to the LORD; the thunder will cease, and there
will be no more hail, that you may know that the earth is the LORD’s.
30
But as for you and your servants, I know that you will not yet fear
the LORD God.”

Exodus 19:4-6
4
‘You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on
eagles’ wings and brought you to Myself. Now therefore, if you will
5

indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a

special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine. And
6

you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are

the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel.”
Deuteronomy 14:1-3

Exodus 31:16-18
16
Therefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe
the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant. It 17

is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days
the LORD made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He
rested and was refreshed.’”
18
And when He had made an end of speaking with him on Mount Sinai,
He gave Moses two tablets of the Testimony, tablets of stone, written
with the finger of God.

1 Kings 8:27-28
27
“But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, heaven and the
heaven of heavens cannot contain You. How much less this temple
which I have built! Yet regard the prayer of Your servant and his
28

supplication, O LORD my God, and listen to the cry and the prayer
which Your servant is praying before You today: 1 Kings 8:42-44
2 Kings 5:15
15

gift from your servant.”

2 Kings 19:15

Bring an offering, and come before Him.
Oh, worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness!
30
Tremble before Him, all the earth.
The world also is firmly established,
It shall not be moved.
31
Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad;
And let them say among the nations, “The LORD reigns.”
32
Let the sea roar, and all its fullness;
Let the field rejoice, and all that is in it.
33
Then the trees of the woods shall rejoice before the LORD,
For He is coming to judge the earth.[a]
34
Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever.

Therefore David blessed the LORD before all the assembly; and

ever.
