Richly diverse through its disciplines, Universit de Lorraine pursues a

wide range of international activities: in- and outbound student exchanges
(1,500 Lorraine students spend a part of their curriculum abroad, and 15%
from a hundred different countries); degree programs offered jointly with
other institutions (including several Erasmus Mundus masters programs).
The university is a major force in the economic and social development of
the region.
With five centuries of history, Universit de Lorraine is also a pioneer in the
collaboration between arts, technologies, and industry, as embodied today
in innovative projects such as ARTEM, the Institut Jean Lamour, the Institut
Lafayette, and the Biople, among others.
