Chronology of a Cover-Up

June 13, 1929 - 12 years after Her original appearances at Fatima, in

fulfillment of Her July 13, 1917 promise, Our Lady again appears to Sister Lucy
at Tuy, Spain and tells her that "the moment has come" for RUSSIA to be
consecrated to Her Immaculate Heart by the Pope "in union with all the bishops
of the world" on one specific day and at the same hour.
August 1931 - Our Lord Jesus Christ speaks to Sister Lucy, and concerning the
Consecration of Russia, tells her "Make it known to My ministers, that given
they follow the example of the King of France in delaying the execution of My
request that they will follow him into misfortune."
January 2, 1944 - Our Lady again appears to Sister Lucy and bids her to write
down the Third (never released) part of the Secret entrusted to her at Fatima in
1917. She requests that it be given to the faithful no later than 1960.
July 15, 1946 - In answer to a question from Professor William T. Walsh, Sister
Lucy points out that Our Lady DID NOT ask for the consecration of the world (as
done by Pope Pius Xll), but only and specifically RUSSIA. "If this is done," says
Sister Lucy, Our Lady promises to "convert Russia and there will be peace."
December 26, 1957 - Father Fuentes interviews Sister Lucy; she tells of many
nations disappearing from the face of the earth and of many souls going to hell
as a result of ignoring Our Lady's Fatima Message.
1958 - Father Fuentes publishes his interview. It is widely read and no one
questions its authenticity.
October 9, 1958 - Pope Pius XII dies.
July 2, 1959 - Father Fuentes' interview with Sister Lucy is denounced as
fraudulent in an ANONYMOUS report from the Chancery office in Coimbra. To
this date, no official will take credit for this report.
February 8, 1960 - Despite Our Lady's express wish to Sister Lucy and
repeated promises from the Bishop of Fatima and the Cardinal Patriarch of
Lisbon, the Vatican ANONYMOUSLY announces that the Third Secret will NOT be
opened and publicly revealed in this year.
1960 - Sister Lucy is officially forbidden to speak on the Third Secret.

1961 - Despite the defense by the Cardinal Primate of Mexico and his own
Archbishop, Pio Lopez, Father Fuentes is dismissed as Postulator of the Cause
for Beatification of Jacinta and Francisco on the basis of the anonymous
Coimbra report.

1965 - 1981
1965 - Father Alonso becomes the Archivist of Fatima. He is a theologian in his
own right. He publicly states his agreement with the anonymous report against
Father Fuentes.
November 15, 1966 - New revisions in Canon Law permit anyone in the
Church to speak publicly about the Fatima apparitions without the necessity of
an imprimatur. However, Sister Lucy remains silenced, forbidden to speak on
Fatima without direct Vatican permission.
1967 - Sister Lucy's Memoirs are published in which she reveals Our Lady's
1929 request for the Consecration of Russia. A huge public campaign begins
with the collection of thousands of signatures asking the Pope to consecrate
Russia.
May 13, 1967 - According to one Fatima expert, Sister Lucy pleads with Pope
Paul VI to release the Third Secret, but he refuses.
1975 - After 10 years' study, Father Alonso reverses himself about Father
Fuentes and declares that the 1957 interview was valid and an authentic report
of Sister Lucy's views.
1980 - In three years, the public campaign for the Consecration of Russia
results in over 3 million signatures being received at the Vatican.
December 12, 1981 - Father Alonso dies, leaving behind a 14-volume work on
Fatima. All 14 volumes remain unpublished to this day due to an ecclesiastical
ban. However, in articles published before his death, Father Alonso states his
belief that the Third Secret refers to dangers to the Faith and the guilt of the
hierarchy.
May 13, 1982 - The Pope consecrates the world at Fatima.
May 19, 1982 - The Holy Father, explaining why he did not specifically
consecrate Russia, declares he had "tried to do everything possible in the
concrete circumstances."
July/August 1982 - The Blue Army's Soul Magazine publishes an alleged
interview with Sister Lucy in which she supposedly claims that the Consecration
of Russia has been accomplished by the Pope.

1982-83 - In a private comment to friends and relatives, Sister Lucy repeatedly

denies that the Consecration has been done. When asked to publicly announce
this, she tells Father Joseph Ste. Marie that she must have "official permission
from the Vatican" before she can make such a statement.
March 19, 1983 - At the Holy Father's request, Sister Lucy meets with
Archbishop Portalupi (the Papal Nuncio), Dr. Lacerda and Father Messias, and
Sister Lucy confirms that the Consecration of Russia was NOT done because
Russia did not appear clearly as the object of consecration and the world's
bishops did not participate. She explains that she could not say so publicly
before because she did not have the permission of the Vatican.
May-October 1983 - Father Caillon and Father Gruner publish several articles
exposing the erroneous and fraudulent Soul Magazine interview.

1984
March 25, 1984 - The Holy Father at Rome before 250,000 people again
consecrates the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary: The Pope departs from
his prepared text and acknowledges that Our Lady of Fatima is still awaiting the
Consecration of Russia.
March 26, 1984 - The Pope's own newspaper, L'Osservatore Romano, reports
the exact words used by the Pope during the Consecration of the world
ceremony. Departing from his 3-month-old prepared text the Pope asks Our
Lady of Fatima to "enlighten especially the peoples, whose consecration and
entrusting you are awaiting from us."
March 27, 1984 - As reported in the Italian Catholic Bishops'
newspaper Avvenire, the Holy Father, four hours after consecrating the world,
prays at St. Peter's asking Our Lady to bless "those peoples for whom You
Yourself are awaiting our act of consecration and entrusting."
1984 - Fatima expert, Father Messias publicly insists that the Consecration still
has NOT been done (Note: He will consistently maintain this position until spring
1989).
November 1984 - Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger (who has read the Third Fatima
Secret) acknowledges in an interview published with his explicit permission,
in Jesus magazine that the Third Secret referred to dangers to the Faith, thus
confirming Father Alonso's thesis.

1985 - 1988

June 1985 - The Ratzinger Report, a book based on the 1984 interview, is
published with all particularly pertinent references to the Third Secret
mysteriously deleted.
September 1985 - In a published interview with friends of the Spanish Blue
Army, Sister Lucy affirms that the Consecration of Russia still has NOT been
done because once again Russia was not the clear object of the consecration
and the bishops did not fully participate.
1985 - Cardinal Gagnon in an interview with Father Caillon acknowledges the
Consecration of Russia has NOT been done.
1986 - Maria do Fetal publicly quotes Sister Lucy (her cousin) as saying that
the Consecration of Russia still has NOT been done. (Note: She will consistently
maintain this position until July 1989).
1986 - 1987 - Father Paul Leonard writes (June 1986) The Plot to Silence Our
Lady and its April, 1987 sequel The (USA) Blue Army Leadership Has Followed a
Deliberate Policy of Falsifying the Fatima Message to clearly expose the bogus
1982 Soul Magazine interview and the USA Blue Army's subsequent
disinformation about the Consecration requested by Our Lady.
July 20, 1987 - Interviewed quickly outside her convent while voting, Sister
Lucy confirms to journalist Enrico Romero that the Consecration of Russia has
NOT been done.
October 25, 1987 - In an audience with 12 Catholic leaders, Cardinal Mayer
publicly acknowledges that the Consecration has NOT been done according to
Our Lady's specific request.
November 26, 1987 - In a private meeting, Cardinal Stickler confirms that the
Consecration has NOT been done because the Pope lacks the support of the
bishops. "They do not obey him." says Cardinal Stickler.
1988 - Cardinal Gagnon attacks Father Gruner for publishing the Caillon report.
Gagnon admits speaking to Father Caillon, does not deny the truth of his report,
but says it was not meant for publication.

1989 - Present
1989 - More than 350 Roman Catholic bishops respond to a letter from Father
Gruner and confirm their willingness to Consecrate Russia with the Pope as
requested by Our Lady at Fatima.

1989 - Since 1980, by conservative estimates, an additional 1,000,000

signatures have been received by the Vatican calling for the Pope and bishops to
Consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
July 1989 - Maria do Fetal suddenly reverses and contradicts her statements
she had been consistently making since 1986. She now claims that Sister Lucy
believes the 1984 world consecration satisfied Our Lady of Fatima's request.
August 1989 - July 1990 - Computer-generated and typewritten notes and
letters supposedly signed by Sister Lucy suddenly appear, flatly contradicting all
former statements she has made for more than 50 years about the
Consecration.
January 29, 1990 - At about 8:30 a.m., Maria do Fetal at Fatima states to
Father Pierre Caillon that she "was inventing" when she earlier reported Sister
Lucy's words on the 1984 consecration.
October 11, 1990 - Sister Lucy's own blood sister, Carolina tells Father Gruner
in Fatima that little or no trust can be put in any typewritten letter from Sister
Lucy as she does not even know how to type.
October 22, 1990 - In a written report, a highly regarded forensic expert
indicates that Sister Lucy's signature was forged on a November 1989
computer-generated letter. It was excerpts from this letter (published by an
Italian Catholic magazine in March 1990) that has been widely cited as "proof"
that the Consecration has been done. Several wire services picked up that
Italian story and spread this fraudulent claim worldwide.
November 1990 - Father Gruner and the International Fatima Rosary Crusade
launch a worldwide campaign to free Sister Lucy from her 30-year ordeal of
silence and to encourage the Holy Father to release the Third Secret of Fatima.

Your Help Is Necessary

Please join Our Crusade to free Sister Lucy from the terrible ordeal of 30 years
of enforced silence. Please beg the Holy Father to reverse the order of silence
imposed on Sister Lucy over 30 years ago.
Remember the Pope needs your prayers and moral support. This you can
express by your petitions to free Sister Lucy, and by your petitions to
consecrate Russia. Remember that Our Lady of Fatima said as a punishment for
sin "the world will be punished by the persecution of the Church and the
persecution of the Holy Father."
We must accept the prophetic words of Our Lady of Fatima:

"Russia will be the instrument of chastisement chosen by Heaven to punish the

whole world (for its sins) if we do not beforehand obtain the conversion of that
poor nation."
Russia is not converted to the Catholic Faith because it has not been
consecrated. Millions still languish in Communist gulags because they are Godfearing men and women who would rather suffer and die than be unfaithful to
God. The myth that Russia is changing is perpetrated among gullible Westerners
because they do not realize how far satan and his Communist agents have
insinuated their doctrines into the minds of Church-going people.
Our Lady said "Russia will spread her errors throughout the world." The Third
Secret tells us that Russia will even have succeeded by 1960 to infiltrate the
Catholic clergy and get their doctrines and practices to be more and more
propagated by means of "Catholic" press, and even from "Catholic" pulpits.
Today the triumph of "Liberation" theology is a witness to this fact. The Third
Secret warns us against the apostasy that would invade the Church even in our
own dioceses and parishes. The Third Secret, as Frre Michel demonstrates, is a
prophecy which started to be realized in 1960 and it is still going on. We are
now living through this spiritual chastisement.
To put an end to this terrible apostasy within the Church, to bring about the
triumph of Our Lady, the Third Secret must be officially revealed and Sister Lucy
be allowed to speak.
You can help by writing the Pope. Send him your signed postcard asking for
Sister Lucy to be free to speak.
Our Lady tells us that our only hope in winning against apostasy within the
Church and Communist enslavement from without is by heeding Her
requests, all of them. Do your part to support us in this campaign. We cannot
do it by ourselves; everyone's help is of tremendous importance. It is for your
soul and that of your children's that we beg you to help now. Tomorrow may be
too late.
The deadline of January 15, 1991, set for war may turn into a declaration of war
and the certain deaths of tens of thousands of young men and women from the
USA and Canada. It may even be the beginning of World War III. Whatever it is
we know that the world will have war and annihilation of nations in the near
future since it is now over 61 years ago that Our Lady said: "The Moment (not
the year or the month) has come in which God asks the Holy Father to make in
union with all the bishops of the world, the consecration of Russia to My
Immaculate Heart, promising to save Russia by this means."
We know it has not yet been done but Our Lady's enemies have succeeded in
hiding this Request from most of the members of the Church. Those who know

of this request have a duty to help. Help now before we all perish. Your moral
support and your petitions are more necessary than ever as time is getting very
short.
