Conoce tu dispositivo

Gua de instalacin

El dispositivo admite datos, SMS y servicios de llamadas a travs de la red telefnica mvil, lo que te permite
comunicarte en cualquier momento y lugar.

Cmo instalar el hardware

La siguiente ilustracin es solo una referencia. Puede que el producto real sea diferente.
1. Conector USB
2. Ranura para tarjetas SIM/USIM
3. Indicador LED
4. Ranura para tarjetas microSD
5. Cubierta delantera
6. Tapa del mdem

1. Presiona y empuja la cubierta delantera para retirarla.

NOTA: No abras la cubierta delantera violentamente, para evitar que la cubierta delantera sea daada.
2. Inserta la tarjeta SIM/USIM en la ranura para tarjetas SIM/USIM.
Introduce la tarjeta SIM/USIM con el rea de contacto de metal orientada hacia abajo y,
a continuacin, empuja la tarjeta, como se indica a continuacin.
IMPORTANTE: el dispositivo no es compatible con tarjetas SIM Micro/Nano ni con
ningn tipo de tarjetas SIM no estndar. A fin de evitar que el dispositivo se dae, no
uses esas tarjetas ni soportes de tarjetas.

3. Inserta la tarjeta microSD en la ranura correspondiente, como se indica a continuacin.

Cmo conectar el mdem a la computadora

1. Introduce el conector USB en el puerto USB y asegrate de que se introduzca firmemente.

NOTA:
Este modem solo permite el uso de tarjetas microSD
El logotipo microSD

es una marca comercial de SD-3C, LLC.

4. Alinea la cubierta delantera sobre el cuerpo del modem y presinala para trabarla
en su lugar.

2. El SO detectar y reconocer automticamente el hardware nuevo e iniciar el asistente de instalacin.

Cmo instalar el software

La instalacin puede presentar diferencias, segn el sistema operativo. Sigue las indicaciones del sistema
durante la operacin.

ParaWindows
El sistema iniciar automticamente el proceso de instalacin del software al momento de conectar el mdem
a la computadora. Sigue las indicaciones del sistema para completar la instalacin del software.
NOTA:
Si el sistema no inicia la instalacin automticamente, puedes ejecutar el programa de instalacin desde la
ruta Mi PC > D-Com 3G.
Para Mac
El sistema mostrar automticamente un icono del CD-ROM de D-Com 3G en el escritorio, al momento de
conectar el mdem a la computadora. Haz doble clic en el paquete de software de instalacin del D-Com 3G
y sigue las indicaciones del sistema para completar la instalacin del software.

Cmo retirar el mdem de la computadora

Cierra el software de la aplicacin para poder desconectar el mdem USB de manera segura.

Cmo usar el mdem

A continuacin se muestran los iconos que permiten la operacin rpida de las siguientes funciones:
Conexin

Conecta a Internet.

Estadsticas

Muestra la informacin de uso de datos.

SMS

destinatario y el contenido del mensaje, y haz clic en el botn Send

para enviar el mensaje nuevo.

Haz clic en el botn Nuevo mensaje

Revisin del balance Revisa tu cuenta. Establece la configuracin del mdem USB.

Consulta el soporte para obtener asistencia.

NOTA: Para administrar el mdem, puedes hacer clic en los botones Archivo, Herramientas, Ayuda.
Tambin puedes hacer clic en el botn Operacin para realizar una llamada.

Advertencias y avisos
Para el propietario
Algunos dispositivos electrnicos son susceptibles a las interferencias electromagnticas que enva el
mdem si no estn protegidos adecuadamente, como los sistemas electrnicos de vehculos. Si es necesario, consulte al fabricante del dispositivo antes de utilizar el mdem.
Es posible que el uso de laptops y PC de escritorio en conjunto con el mdem interfiera con dispositivos
mdicos, como marcapasos y ayudas auditivas. Cuando estn encendidos, mantngalos siempre a ms
de 20 centmetros de distancia de dichos dispositivos mdicos. Si es necesario, apague el mdem. En
caso de duda, consulte a su mdico o al fabricante del dispositivo mdico antes de usar el mdem.
Tenga en cuenta los lmites de uso del mdem en lugares como bodegas de combustible o fbricas
qumicas, donde se procesan gases o productos explosivos. Si es necesario, apague el mdem.

Se prohbe el uso de dispositivos de transmisin electrnica en aeronaves, gasolineras y hospitales. Observe y obedezca todas las seales de advertencia y apague el mdem en estas condiciones.
No toque el rea de la antena interna si no es necesario. De lo contrario, esto afectar el rendimiento del
mdem.
Mantenga el mdem lejos del alcance de nios pequeos. El mdem puede provocar daos si se usa como
un juguete.
No toque las piezas metlicas del mdem, a fin de evitar quemaduras durante el funcionamiento del mismo.

Cmo usar el mdem USB

Use accesorios originales o autorizados. El uso de accesorios no autorizados puede afectar el rendimiento
del mdem e infringir reglamentaciones nacionales relacionadas con los terminales de telecomunicaciones.
Evite usar el mdem cerca o dentro de estructuras metlicas o instalaciones que puedan emitir ondas
electromagnticas. De lo contrario, esto afectar la recepcin de la seal.
El mdem no es a prueba de agua. Mantngalo seco y gurdelo en un lugar fresco y lejos de la luz del sol.

 En caso de un cambio brusco de temperatura, no utilice el mdem inmediatamente. Esto producir roco
dentro y fuera del mdem, por lo que no debe usarlo hasta que est seco.
Manipule el mdem con cuidado. No lo flexione, golpee ni deje caer. De lo contrario, el mdem sufrir
daos.

Garanta limitada
Esta garanta no se aplica a defectos o errores del producto causados por:

ii. Incumplimiento de las instrucciones o procedimientos de instalacin, operacin o mantenimiento de
Bitel por parte del usuario final.
iii. Mal manejo, uso, instalacin, desarmado, almacenamiento, reparaciones u operacin indebidos o
negligentes por parte del usuario final.

iv. Modificaciones o reparaciones no efectuadas por Bitel o personas certificadas por Bitel.
v. Fallas elctricas, sobretensiones, incendios, inundaciones, accidentes, acciones de terceros u otros
eventos fuera del control razonable de Bitel.
vi. Uso de productos de terceros o uso en conjunto con productos de terceros, siempre y cuando este
uso combinado provoque los defectos.
vii. Otras causas fuera del rango del uso normal para el que se dise el producto.
En caso de que ocurra alguna de las situaciones anteriormente mencionadas, el usuario final no tendr derecho a rechazar o devolver el producto, ni a recibir un reembolso por parte de Bitel.
Esta garanta es el nico recurso del usuario final y la nica responsabilidad de Bitel respecto a elementos defectuosos o que no estn en conformidad, y se otorga en lugar de cualquier otra garanta, ya sea
expresa, implcita o legal, incluyendo, sin carcter limitativo, las garantas implcitas de comercializacin
e idoneidad para un propsito especfico, a menos que las disposiciones obligatorias de la ley as lo requieran.

3. Insert your microSD card into the microSD card slot, as shown below.

Installing Hardware

NOTE:

1. Press and push the front cover and remove it.

Do not open the front cover rudely so as to avoid the damage of the front cover.
2. Insert the SIM/USIM card into the SIM/USIM card slot.
Insert the SIM/USIM card with the metal contact area facing downwards into the slot,
and then push the SIM/USIM card as far as possible, as shown below.
IMPORTANT: Your device does not support Micro/Nano SIM card or any other nonstandard SIM cards. To avoid device damage, please do not use them or any card holders.

4. Put the front cover flatly upon the body of modem and push the front cover to
lock the cover in its place.

Connecting the Modem to Your PC

1. Plug the USB connector into the USB port and make sure it is tightly inserted.

2. The OS automatically detects and recognizes new hardware and starts the installation wizard.

Installing Software
On different operating systems, the installation procedures may be difference. Follow the system prompts during operation.

For Windows OS
Your system will start the software setup process automatically when you connect the modem to your computer correctly. Follow the system prompts to complete the software installation.
NOTE:
If the system does not launch installation automatically, you can run the installation program in path of My
Computer > D-Com 3G.
For Mac OS
The system will automatically display a D-Com 3G CD-ROM icon on the desktop, when you connect the modem to your computer correctly. Double click the installation software package in the D-Com 3G, and follow
the system prompts to complete the software installation.

Removing the Modem From Your PC

Please close the application software, and then you can pull out the USB Modem safely.

Some electronic devices are susceptible to electromagnetic interference sent by modem if inadequately
shielded, such as the electronic system of vehicles. Please consult the manufacturer of the device before
using the modem if necessary.
Operating of laptop and desktop PCs and the modem may interfere with medical devices like hearing aids
and pacemakers. Please always keep them more than 20 centimeters away from such medical devices
when they are turned on. Turn the modem off if necessary. Consult a physician or the manufacturer of the
medical device before using the modem.

 Be aware of the usage limitation when using a modem at places such as oil warehouses or chemical
factories, where there are explosive gases or explosive products being processed. Turn off your modem if
required.
The use of electronic transmitting devices is forbidden in aircrafts, at petrol stations and in hospitals.
Please observe and obey all warning signs and switch off your modem in these conditions.
Do not touch the inner antenna area if not necessary. Otherwise it will affect your modems performance.
Store the modem out of the reach of little children. The modem may cause injury if used as a toy.
Do not touch the metallic parts of the modem so as to avoid a burn, when the modem is working.

Using Your USB Modem

Please use original accessories or accessories that are authorized. Using any unauthorized accessories
may affect your modems performance, and violate related national regulations about telecom terminals.
Avoid using the modem near or inside metallic structures or establishments that can emit electromagnetic
waves. Otherwise it may influence signal reception.

The modem is not waterproof. Please keep it dry and store in a shady and cool place.
Do not use the modem immediately after a sudden temperature change. In such case, it will produce dew
inside and outside the modem, so dont use it until it becomes dry.
Handle the modem carefully. Do not drop, bend or strike it. Otherwise the modem will be damaged.
No dismantling by non-professionals and only qualified technicians can undertake repair work.
Operating temperature range of -10C ~ +60C and humidity range of 5% ~ 95% are recommended.

Limited Warranty
This warranty does not apply to defects or errors in the Product caused by:
i. Reasonable abrasion.
ii. End Users failure to follow Bitels installation, operation or maintenance instructions or procedures.
iii. End Users mishandling, misuse, negligence, or improper installation, disassembly, storage, servicing
or operation of the Product.

iv. Modifications or repairs not made by Bitel or a Bitel-certified individual.

v. Power failures, surges, fire, flood, accidents, actions of third parties or other events outside Bitels
reasonable control.
vi. Usage of third-party products, or usage in conjunction with third-party products provided that such
defects are due to the combined usage.
vii. Any other cause beyond the range of normal usage intended for the Product.
End User shall have no right to reject or return the Product, or receive a refund for the Product from Bitel under the above-mentioned situations.
This warranty is End Users sole remedy and Bitels sole liability for defective or nonconforming items,
and is in lieu of all other warranties, expressed, implied or statutory, including but not limited to the implied
warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, unless otherwise required under the
mandatory provisions of the law.

Limitation of Liability
Bitel shall not be liable for any loss of profits or indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages resulting
from or arising out of or in connection with using of this product, whether or not Bitel had been advised, knew
or should have known of the possibility of such damages, including, but not limited to lost profits, interruption
of business, cost of capital, cost of substitute facilities or product, or any downtime cost.
