Why look for help in the wrong places?

Text Phil 4:19

Do an illustration:
When you call to the Lord, "God help me", realize you don't need God to help you do
it, you need God to do it. We are totally helpless apart from what God does in our
life. Jesus said, "only believe", that's our part, trust Him to do it and He will.
Take 2 people with pain sitting on a chair.
Ask them both to walk to the door.
The one say he cannot because the pain is too much
The other despite the pain believed he can reach the door.
So do Abraham believed God and God prospered him in all his ways.
Barthemeous did not stop shouting but believed that his shouting will draw the
attention of Jesus.
Look at this verse: Phil 4:19
If you fully understand this scripture not only by heart but seeing the importance of
what this scripture says you will enjoy your Christian life.
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ
Jesus
The revelation of this illimitable wealth is this:
The SOURCE of it is My God
The Certainty of it Shall supply
What is the Measure of it All your need
The Standard of it According to His riches in glory
The Channel of it Christ Jesus
The help from God contains:

it is a river of pleasure
a mine of wealth
a paradise of glory

So read it to be wise, believe it to be safe and practice it to be holy.

able to deliver you from all your enemies. Hearing the Word of God will give you strength and

God Help Me What Can I Do?

10 With your whole being you embrace God setting things right, and then you say it, right

11 Scripture reassures us, "No one who trusts God like this heart and soul will ever regret
it." 12 It's exactly the same no matter what a person's religious background may be: the same
God for all of us, acting the same incredibly generous way to everyone who calls out for help. 13
"Everyone who calls, 'Help, God!' gets help."
14 But how can people call for help if they don't know who to trust? And how can they know
who to trust if they haven't heard of the One who can be trusted? And how can they hear if
nobody tells them? 15 And how is anyone going to tell them, unless someone is sent to do it?
That's why Scripture exclaims, A sight to take your breath away! Grand processions of people
telling all the good things of God!
16 But not everybody is ready for this, ready to see and hear and act. Isaiah asked what we all
ask at one time or another: "Does anyone care, God? Is anyone listening and believing a word of
it?" 17 The point is, Before you trust, you have to listen.

God Help me,

Speak to me about Your Word;
Prov 30:5 Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.

God Help Me I will wait on You;

Ps 33:20-22 Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice

God is our very present help in time of need. God will hear you when you cry, "God Help Me"
