Emotional Intelligence

Information processing abilities differs from person to person. Emotional


intelligence is a debatable concept. Through emotions, information is processed
and then used in decisions making. Emotions provide the ability to think on a
matter. It is widely under discussion topic. Investigators have different viewpoints
about EI. Emotional intelligence is now used in various meanings. EI means the
ability to process the information of emotions. Behaviors are determined on the
basis of emotions. EI relates with mental abilities. Ones thinking and actions are
guided. Emotionally intelligent people like pleasure and not depression around
them. Emotions and performances have direct relations. Emotional competencies
are adoptability, innovation and team capabilities as per advent of mixed
models. Logical concept of EI is possible. First intelligence and its different types
are to define and then general mental ability factors are measured. Intelligence
may be memorization ability in different areas of information. It is an ability to
enhance the power of memorization. Emotions are integral part of intelligence. In
higher level skill it is the capacity to manage emotions properly EI may be
measured by mental abilities Big five personality traits are introversion,
neuroticism, Stability, Openness, Closeness, Agreeableness disagreeableness,
and Conscientiousness Carelessness. EI has also its connection with physical
variables. In establishing friendship the EI has its role which is observed by
researchers. EI effects positively on the working relationships also. On the basis
of EI the social effectiveness may be predicted. EI encourages social and
emotional traits. EI also supports the inner feelings philosophy instead of only
core knowledge. In this study the emotional intelligence is used in broader sense.
But here some extra concepts are attached with emotional intelligence. Some
illogical efforts are made to connect emotional intelligence with some other
social behavioral sciences.

Ability and Trait Emotional Intelligence

The literary background of emotional intelligence goes back to the work of


Gardner. According to him interpersonal intelligence means to understand the
intentions, motivations and how to work with others. On other hand the
intrapersonal intelligence means to understand the personal capacities. Trait EI
(emotional intelligence) and ability EI are differ in a manner that one does not
affects on other. Trait EI relates with inherent attributes. Personality traits are
more adoptive. In job description the personality attributes counts more. But it
does not means that all success depends on it. To get sample of trait EI a
classical psychometric scale is to develop. Score are the common attributes.
These questionnaires include the validation process and other questions may be
based on empirical foundations. Here main purpose is to measure EI as cognitive
ability. In questions basic theme of theatrical back ground should be included.
Some sort of predictive validity may also be a part of questionnaire. The research
work started on Trait EI has been started from last few years. Social and
antisocial behaviors have observed. Personality dimensions have been studied. It
has been observed that EI fulfils the more solid purpose than IQ in measuring the
capabilities of potential employee.
This study was conducted with reference to personality disorder. Then the result
found was negative between PD and trait EI. School EI has its role when
transition is executed from primary to secondary. EI has its effect when one eve
tries to harm oneself. I have its role in psychological disorders Trait EI has its
relation with physical health also. Two Meta analyses are established in this
regard. Trait EI having positive predictor of mental health and well-being. Trait EI
has its positive as well as negative implications with physical health. It is its
implications Trait EI have also direct and indirect effects on educational variables.
Trait EI has its influence children peer. Trait EI has fewer effects on educational
performance. Intellectual resources are determinant for trait EI. Modest
correlation observed between trait EI and educational performance at high
school. There is a relationship between trait EI and social behaviors of student in
primary school. Trait EI has its practical exposure. People of high trait EI can face
stressful events. There is also a relationship between trait EI and managerial
performance.
