integrating architectures, structures & MEP models in
NAVISWORKS to prepare clash Detection Reports.

East, wanted to outsource conversion of their MEP 2D drawings into
MEP 3D Models to ensure clash-free MEP fit outs for their
International Airport. Conversion to 3D BIM in REVIT, the integration
of architecture, structure & MEP models in NAVISWORKS & Clash
Detection reports were to be managed efficiently for streamlining the
entire process. It was extremely important to ensure, there are
absolutely no delays, as the inauguration date for this terminal was
pre decided.

The Solution
Team was well aware about importance of coordination for this
project. MEP/FP coordination was bifurcated in two distinct
segments:

Coordination of underground utilities like plumbing and electrical

Above-ceiling coordination of all the MEP/FP utilities

Technology / Software Used

Converting 2D designs in to 3D BIM Models through REVIT, a
unanimous decision was made by engineers & clients, making the
integration of architectures, structures & MEP models in
NAVISWORKS for preparing clash detection reports, convenient.

2D models to 3D using BIM / VDC tools
