SCOPE OF WORK EXHIBIT A

MATERIAL REQUISITION / TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS


CORING EQUIPMENT AND SERVICES
A.

INTRODUCTION
Contractor plans to drill 3 firm and 3 contingent wells in block and 9 wells in
block. The scope of work for the Contractor is to provide Coring Services for
these wells as per Exhibit A & B for on call out basis. The exact number of coring
will be decided by depending upon exploration requirement. intend to start the
drilling operations in block by 15th December 2007.
Contractor will be responsible for the entire execution and performance of Coring
Services and shall be comply with all environmental, safety as well as labour
regulations as per the law of the land

B.

SCOPE OF WORK
Under this Contract, the Contractor shall provide Coring services including all the
tools, equipment, material and spares related to coring and core recovery.Core
preservation & core transportation operations are the responsibility of
CONTRACTOR. The work is defined & described by, but not necessarily limited
to, any or all of the following: 1) BIDDER shall provide, operate, maintain and repair its coring equipment, low
invasion core heads, core barrels, consumables and spares & personnel as
specified in Exhibit B to perform coring operations at the site successfully.
2) BIDDER shall provide the coring equipment which are capable enough to cut
cores of 4 diameter with a minimum of 60 feet length to be taken in the hole
size range from 17 to 8 in vertical as well as deviated wells. Coring may
be carried out in unconsolidated sands, claystone, shale, coal, conglomerate,
consolidated sandstone & siltstone, limestone and basement sections.
3) BIDDER shall provide Case History, Technical Specifications and Track
Record for all the Coring Systems used for the coring job.
4) Besides the above requirements, BIDDER may provide the Coring Equipment
and Techniques, as additional items, which are used for special applications
not mentioned in the Scope of Work.
5) BIDDER shall provide a wellsite coring engineer on callout basis. The Coring
Engineer needs to discuss the Core Acquisition plan with CONTRACTOR team
and submit a detailed coring programme to be executed on the Rig. The Coring
Engineer shall have at least 5 years of experience in the type of coring systems
for performing coring job.
6) BIDDER shall always maintain sufficient spares at the site. Bidder shall also
provide the necessary fishing tools at the site for their coring equipment.
7) BIDDER shall prepare & submit to CONTRACTOR the job report which will
include the summary of operations, coring parameters, coring BHA list, core
recovery, Tool optimization reports, Failure Reports, Inventory reports showing
the list of equipment to be available for next coring jobs and any other relevant
data.

8) BIDDER shall provide a general price list of all its products & services related to
the coring equipment and services. BIDDER shall indicate the discount offered
on the prices mentioned in the general price list.
9) BIDDER shall carry out all the activities in accordance with good oil and gas
industry practices, ensuring safe working conditions throughout the entire
duration of Agreement.
10) BIDDER shall provide protective clothing and equipment to each of its
personnel to work safely on the site. BIDDER shall provide a minimum of the
following Safety Equipment: Safety Helmet approved to a recognized international standard.

Eye protection.

Ear protection.

Hand Gloves.

Coveralls.

Life Jackets.

Safety Boots.

Wet Clothing (Rain Coats).

11) BIDDER shall provide a copy of Bidders HSE Policy covering, but not limited
to, the following aspects: Health, Safety and Environmental Manual.

Accident reporting and analysis.

First Aid.

Hydrogen Sulfide Policy.

BIDDER shall deliver the Coring Equipment, tools and accessories to the
CONTRACTORs warehouse/Site. The Commencement Date shall be the date
and time when the BIDDER has mobilized all its equipment including the
accessories, tools and spares, to the CONTRACTORs warehouse/Site.

BIDDER shall setup their unit at the CONTRACTORs warehouse/Site for the
maintenance & repair of Coring Equipment, tools & accessories. BIDDER shall
provide a technician to perform all the repair jobs at the CONTRACTORs
warehouse/Site.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
Duration of Agreement
Subject to the termination provisions in this agreement, the duration of this
Agreement shall be for one year from the Commencement Date as specified
above.
Notwithstanding anything stated above, the term of the Contract and the DDR
shall be extended on the same terms and conditions, including rates, at
CONTRACTORs option, by the period for which operations remains suspended
on account of declaration of Force Majeure.
Extension Options

CONTRACTOR shall have the right to extend the duration of the Contract by four
(4) further extensions up to three (3) months each, under the same rates, terms
and conditions by giving Contractor at least fifteen (15) days written notice prior
to the completion of initial term of the Contract as per clause B 1.0 above.
However in case the operations on the last well have not been completed at the
expiration of extension, then this Contract will continue until such well in progress
is completed.
Delivery Date
For the purpose of submitting bids bidder may assume the delivery/mobilisation
of Equipment to CONTRACTORs warehouse/Site by 15th December 2007. The
exact date for delivery shall be intimated later.
Delivery Lead Time
BIDDER shall provide the delivery leadtime to CONTRACTORs warehouses
both for Patan, district head quarter of Patan District in North Gujarat and for
Vadodara, Gujarat for the Bidders Equipment. The delivery lead-time specified
shall remain firm for the duration of this Agreement.
Markings
Each container shall have identification markings stenciled with paint giving
complete details/address of consignee. Stenciled markings shall include the
following statement:

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
B-1.0. INTRODUCTION
CONTRACTOR has plans to perform coring to cut the core of 4 OD in the hole
sizes in the range of 17 to 8 . Each well may have maximum 3 coring
intervals, each interval being approximately 60 ft in length. The wells will have
pressure up to hydrostatic plus 50% and temperature gradient of about 3.5 o C/
100 meter and the maximum depth of a well will be 4000 meters.
B-2.0. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
1. The coring equipment shall consist of low invasion core heads, well stabilized
inner & outer core barrels, consumables and spares to cut the core of 4 OD in
the hole sizes in the range of 17 to 8 in vertical and deviated wells.
2. The coring equipment shall be capable to cut a minimum of 60 feet of core and
designed to avoid jamming of core. The BIDDER shall ensure that their coring
equipment are capable to recover more than 80% of core in each coring run.
3. BIDDER has to quote different Coring Systems for
Unconsolidated Formations
Medium Hard Formations
Hard and Abrasive Formations
The BIDDER may quote suitable Coring Systems for some or all the above types.
4. BIDDER should submit complete details and technical specifications of Coring
systems along with their Case History and Track Records. Also, the BIDDER
shall quote the maximum length of core that can be cut with their respective
coring systems.
5. Besides this, BIDDER may also quote for any other Coring Techniques available
with them for special applications not mentioned above.

B-3.0. LOGISTIC OVERVIEW


CONTRACTOR will be operating its warehouse near Patan (Gujarat) for
operations in xxxxx block and near Vadodara (Gujarat) for operations in CB xxxxx
Blocks. The facilities at warehouse include an office, covered warehouse, open
storage area, pipe yard for Casing/Tubing etc. Supplies to the Rig are conducted
from warehouses. The successful bidder may be provided a small area in the
open storage yard for its tools & equipment. Bidder to provide dimension and
weight of offered Equipment.
B-4.0. PERSONNEL
1) BIDDER shall, as & when required by CONTRACTOR, furnish following
Personnel on call-out basis on a seven days notice by CONTRACTOR, for
carrying out the coring operations on the rig.

3) Bidder shall arrange transportation of the above Bidders personnel for
movement between site and Contractors base.

CONTRACT PRICE SCHEDULE
CONTRACTOR shall compensate the BIDDER for the Work in accordance with the rate
specified herein below. All rates provided herein are in the U.S. Dollars (US$)/Indian
Rupees (INR) and shall be based on delivery of BIDDERS Equipment landed at the
Shore base, inclusive of Customs Clearance charges. CONTRACTOR will be operating
its warehouse in and arounrd Patan (Gujarat) for operations in xxxxx block and in and
around Vadodara (Gujarat) for operations in xxxxx Blocks. Payment will be made for
each batch delivered separately and not a lump sum amount for the total requirement.
CONTRACTOR may vary quantities ordered due to change in project schedule or
project detail.

Notes: The Mob charges shall include all expenses for the importation of BIDDERs
Equipment as per Exhibit B for delivery to the required warehouse.

Demobilization charges shall include all expenses of BIDDERs Equipment,


exportation of BIDDERS Equipment after completion of the Work or termination as
the case may be.

Standby charges shall be payable for the BIDDERs Equipment for the period after
the completion of Mobilization and before the commencement of demobilization
when the equipment is not under operation or use.

Operating charges shall be payable when BIDDERs Equipment for the period after
the completion of Mobilization and before commencement of demobilization when
the equipment is below rotary table and is under operation or use.

During the operation if the BIDDERs Equipment breakdown or malfunctions, then


no day rate shall be paid for such period.

The day rate for Coring Engineer and Core Handling Technician shall be inclusive
of all expenses

Contractor Personnel should be available at Site within seven (7) days of receiving
mobilization notification from CONTRACTOR.

Rate per day for Contractor Personnel will be paid as per the mobilization &
demobilization from the warehouse in use by CONTRACTOR for its operations in
xxxxx and xxxxx blocks.
