The Miami Recruiting Battalion

The U.S. Army Recruiting Battalion, Miami, has
contributed toward the achievement of the Armys manpower
and mobilization requirements for more than a quarter of a
century. Recruiting in South Florida was formally organized in
1968 under the purview of the Jacksonville Recruiting Main
Station, one of 40 within the United States. On 1 July 1972, the
Army Recruiting Command reorganized into 64 Recruiting
Main Stations, to include one in Miami.

There is nothing wrong with creating art for arts sake. I have
however been led by the spirit to use my talent to advocate for

The Florida Tobacco Prevention for Educators: An Online Professional Development for K-12 Educators is
in its 5th year serving teachers in all 67 Florida public school districts. This free online program is open to all
current, certificate holding Florida teachers. Upon completion of one of the two online courses, Florida educators
will earn either 30 or 60 Professional Development points toward certificate renewal, depending on the course they
choose. Using multimedia, interactivity and creative thinking, teachers will create one lesson and teach five more
from our library, that integrate the content they learned from the course into the tobacco prevention message to their
students. Since 9 out of 10 adult smokers started between the ages of 12-18, helping our students make healthy
