The secret of the immense popularity which this Gauge enjoys is due to a narrow eight-mch arm, curved in
conformity with the natural drop of the smrt over which the hem is easily turned and pinned as the person turns
around. This arm is raised or lowered on the graduated upright rod lo any height desired. When one hip is larger
than the other, as is singularly true of most women, the use of the Gauge is here keenly appreciated, as no error can
