There are many requirements for a graduating student to comply in order to

be in the list of graduates in the right time. One of those is to join a tree planting
activity.
Planting trees is an easy and effective way to beautify your property. Trees
provide shade in summer and wind protection in winter and enhance privacy while
increasing real estate values at the same time. Since a tree is such a visible part of
the landscape, care must be taken to be ensure proper growth conditions are
maintained. A tree is for more difficult and expensive to replace. However, with
some advance planning, trees too can be easily maintain.
Last Saturday, August 8, 2015, a tree planting activity was held at Balansay,
Mamburao, and Occidental Mindoro. The said activity was made possible of the
assistance of the DENR officials and with the free transportation sponsored by the
Municipal office of Mamburao.
Every participant in the activity was busy taking pictures even while riding
at the truck. Being excited and the happiness we felt turn to disappointment when
we already started to walk and went up to the mountain. We walked for almost two
hours. The trail is slippery because it was raining. It was difficult for me to walk
through slippery and full of mud trail because I was not used with this. I am not
the only one felt like this because base on the expression of their faces, I noticed
the difficulty and hard time they experiencing.
While walking, there were some students and even a teachers slipped. This
made the animosity we felt became light and turn to funny moments.
The hardest part of the trial was near at the location where OMSC forest is
located. We planted the seedlings of trees we brought up at within the vicinity of
the OMSC forest and when we started to dug the soil, made a hole and put the
seedlings of Narra trees in it.
I felt awesome looking at the trees I planted and at the same, was hoping and
praying that those trees will grow and be beneficial to all the people and to the
environment as a whole.
