Integrated Research Dissertation

Dear Final Year Students,

IRD facilitates integration of several fields of study in searching for the
solution of a single problem. It provides valuable experience in the research
process, definition of the problem, search for relevant data, analysis of the
data, and drawing conclusions and implications from it. It may be a case
study, describing and analyzing a particular incident, illuminating a variety of
managerial problems. The IRD may take the form of a staff study in which
the pertinent elements of a policy problem are studied and weighted to
reach conclusions as to possible courses of action. IRD may be a historical
study, analyzing and searching for implications in a particular period.
