How is bullying
dealt with?

Any reports of bullying are treat

seriously and dealt with appropriately,
often including inviting parents into
school. We continue to run an
Anti Bullying Focus Group. Our
expectations, rewards & consequences
system is visible around school. We work
hard to ensure that these are
consistently applied &
that there is a culture across
our school
that fosters mutual respect.

We agree.
We have revised the
homework policy
and are launching
a new method of setting
and communicating

Darton College has a highly regarded
nurture provision for learners with SEN.
We have employed a number of primary
practitioners in core subjects to
improve provision for learners working below
age related expectations on entry.
Likewise we are reviewing our KS3 curriculum so
that it is sufficiently challenging for our
higher attaining learners. Currently it does not
build sufficiently on what has been achieved at
Primary KS2 level.
There will also be a much higher
emphasis on consolidating &
developing literacy and
numeracy key skills at
KS3.
