Water
pollution
1. Air pollution is the presence of foreign substances in the atmosphere, which can cause
damages to living organisms.
2. Man-made sources of air pollution are industrialization, automobiles, agriculture, as well
as the establishment of power plants.
3. Primarily, the pollutants which are directly emitted from the sources can bring serious
health-hazards, besides causing different chemical reactions in the atmosphere. For instance,
ash, smoke, dust, fumes, as well as inorganic gases such as carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide,
sulphur dioxide and ammonia are harmful to human bodies.
4. Smoke, fumes and emissions from different vehicles moving on the road 24/7 increases the
temperature of the atmosphere drastically.
5. As the chemicals react to one another in the air, acid rain is formed. Children nowadays
could not even enjoy a carefree run in the rain, as parents are afraid that their skins and
respiratory system could be harmed.
***6. While governments must take prime responsibility for reducing climate change/global
warming, individuals too can play a part. Political leaders across the globe need to cooperate
so that research into renewable forms of energy such as wind and solar power is properly
funded. Use of coal and gas in power stations should be phased out. Regulations against
illegal logging must be properly enforced. Consumers of energy can help by insulating their
homes properly and using solar panels where possible so that less energy is required and
wasted.
7. Global warming/Air pollution is a serious threat to humanity, and therefore these steps
mentioned/ a number of steps should be taken to reduce the effects.
1. Water pollution is the main issue affecting human lives in many ways. We all should know
the causes, effects and preventive measures of the water pollution to make our lives better
2. According to research, it has been noted that around 70 per cent of the river water around
the globe has been polluted to a great extent. For example, major river systems of the India
such as the Ganga river systems have been affected to a great extent. Even the longest
river in Sarawak, Rajang River, has a high pollution level.
3. Water pollution is the contamination of drinking water by the poisonous pollutants
generated by the human activities. The whole water is getting polluted through many
sources such as urban runoff, agricultural, industrial, sedimentary, leeching from landfills,
animal wastes, and other human activities.
4. Human population is increasing day by day and thus their needs and competition lead
pollution to the top level.
5. We need to follow some drastic changes in our habits to save the earth water as well as to
continue the possibility of life here.
6. It is tough to estimate the possibility of life on the earth in the absence of fresh drinking
water.
7. The ever increasing human population enhances the demand of more water for purposes
like drinking, washing, performing industrial processes, irrigating crops, arranging
swimming pools and other water-sports centres.
8. When we drink the polluted water, harmful chemicals and other pollutants goes inside our
body and deteriorates all the body organs functioning and puts our lives in danger. Such
harmful chemicals also disturb the lives of animals and plants greatly.
9. The degradation of drinking water needs an urgent basis prevention method which is
possible by the proper understanding and support from the end of each and every person

Trip to

Trip to
park
I looked out the window. The sky was tar-black and the large clouds were moving towards me. I heard a
tapping on the window and then it became a pitter-patter. People ran for cover outside and umbrellas were
opened as the clouds spat out their beads of water. Puddles began plinking as the rainfall became heavier.
The roofs of the cars danced with spray and I could hear the murmuring of the rain through the window. It
sounded like the buzzing of angry bees.
The freshly mowed grassland of the park looked like a green ocean. Under my feet, I
could almost feel its softness. It was like walking on a blanket. Fresh air tasted like
mint went into my nose and filled my lungs.
