The author relates the massacre that happened at Sandy Hook Elementary School in December
2012 to increase the gun regulation. The author is an American writer, professor, show host, and
an author of two books each from Princeton University press and Yale University press. I can use
this article as an example to show how misused gun can lead to a sad undesirable event.

firearm regulations in the United States, 19952004. Health Policy, 101(1).

This article outlines that the restriction on gun regulation has a significant effect on suicide
prevention. Uncertain about Rodrigues Andrs expertise, but Hempstead had published several
researches mainly related to the human violence and health areas. This article can be used in my
argument to support that a controlled use of guns decreases the rate of unnecessary death.

Zimring, F. (1991). Firearms, Violence and Public Policy. Scientific American, 265(5).

In this article, the author discusses the relationship between gun use and death rate as well as
how gun control leads to reduced death rate from violence. Franklin Zimring is an author of
several books written about crimes and violence about the American society. I can use this source
to prove that gun control can lower the rate of death occurring in crime scenes.

The author gives information about the increasing number of firearm-related death, whether its
an accident, homicide, or murder. Also, the article states that the action must be taken now to
solve this issue. The author is an American politician who was a former president of the
Washinton,DC-based Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence. This article will reinforce my
argument by presenting a real factual numbers and data to show how serious the misuse of guns
had come to in this society.

Economics, 52. Retrieved from
http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0166046215000253
The author discusses that the gun ownership depends on federalism. The author is a professor at
the University of California, San Diego and he had published several researches related to

economics. This article is strong evidence in my argument to why the use of the gun has to be
taken in a nation matter rather than a local matter.
