of Kuching Marathon 2015

KUCHING: Kuching Marathon Association (KMA) is proud to announce Honda Malaysia as the
main sponsor of the Kuching Marathon 2015 (KM 2015).
The event, to be held on Aug 16 at Padang Merdeka, is the second marathon after the successful
inaugural run last year on Aug 17.
Honda is also involved in other marathon events, including the Standard Chartered KL Marathon
since
2011.
This
falls in line with the companys motto Challenging Spirit, which underlines Hondas unwavering
commitment to continuously improve, inspire and advance further with undefeated enthusiasm.
Hondas participation in marathons stem from the fact that they recognise the excellence in
overcoming ones physical and mental limits.
Honda constantly encourages runners to Fight for the Finish, to take it as a journey on its own and
treat it as a life changing experience and challenge, with commitment, dedication and self-discipline.
The companys support for KM 2015 is in tandem with its commitment to encourage healthy living,
engage with the local community and simultaneously strengthen Hondas presence in East Malaysia.
KMA president Wong Chen Yi welcomes Hondas participation as the main sponsor.

our event. With such support, we are confident that this years marathon will be bigger and better.
KM 2015, which was sanctioned by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Malaysia Athletics
Federation through its State affiliate Sarawak Amateur Athletic Association, has attracted more
than 7,000 runners from Malaysia and overseas.
It features the flagship full marathon measuring 42.195km and three additional categories including
the Half Marathon of 21KM, 10KM Run and 5KM Fun Run.
There will be more than 500 volunteers in the preparation throughout the two-week build up and on
event day.
KM 2015 is supported by many organisations including Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM), Malaysian
Red Crescent, St John Ambulance Sarawak, First Division Headquarters Health branch, State Health
Department, State Civil Defense Department, Fire and Rescue Department, Peoples Voluntary Corps
(Rela), and local councils. Numerous cycling groups will also be there to serve as marshals.

Adidas Is The New Apparel Partner for Standard Chartered KL Marathon

After months of hearsays, it is now confirmed that adidas will be the official apparel partner for Standard
Chartered KL Marathon 2015. The announcement was made in the email blast to the SCKLM email
subscribers last night.

Runwitme Says: We took out our crystal ball and predict these three things when adidas is
announced as the official apparel partner with Standard Chartered KL Marathon.
1) Based on what happened in Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2014 where adidas was also the
official apparel partner, we reckon adidas will be offering some exclusive event specific merchandise
and discounts for the runners apart from the usual event vests.

2) Adidas sponsored marathoners will be making appearance in SCKLM. Singapore Marathon had
Haile Gebrselassie last year. Who do you like to see at SCKLM 2015?

3) This also marked the end of adidas King of the Road race that was very popular among the
ASEAN regions a couple of years ago. We think adidas will be focusing on the marathon rather than
organising their own race. So, bye bye to King of the Road. It has been great! *sob!*

Confirmed: Adidas signs league-wide deal

with NHL

The National Hockey League (NHL) has signed a league-wide uniform supply deal with
German sportswear giant Adidas.
The seven-year deal is set to kick in from the 2017/18 season, and will see Adidas replace its sister
brand Reebok as the league's uniform provider.
According to TSN sources, Adidas beat out rival bids from Under Armour and Bauer Hockey and will
pay double the current annual rights fee of US$35 million.
Under the terms of the deal, Adidas will also serve as outfitter for next year's World Cup of Hockey,
the NHL-sanctioned competition. The tournament will be held from 17th September to 1st October
and will take place at Air Canada Centre in Toronto.

NHL and MLBAM announce six-year digital deal

The deal marks a change of tack for Adidas, which has switched its marketing focus in North
America away from league-wide deals - allowing contracts with the NFL and the NBA to expire - and
to personal endorsement deals.
Adidas recently announced a sponsorship deal with number one 2015 NHL Draft pick Connor
McDavid of the Edmonton Oilers.

DHL sponsors season two of ISL

DHL has agreed a sponsorship deal with the Indian Super League (ISL) for the soccer
competition's second season.
The company will become the official logistics and timing partner for the league, providing back-end
support to its operations. It will also enjoy a range of branding rights and will create the 'DHL
Winning Pass Award' for the player who has completed the most passes on each of the eight ISL
teams.

ISL side Chennaiyin FC renew with Ozone Group

DHL Express senior vice president and country manager for India RS Subramanian said: "Globally,
DHL has a long history of supporting professional football leagues across the world. We are partners
with Manchester United, one of the world's biggest football clubs, FC Bayern Munich and Copa
America. DHL delivers the Rugby World Cup 2015 and recently partnered with the Chinese Football
Association Super League. Our partnership with ISL further strengthens our commitment to the sport
and support to Indian football players to compete internationally."
The franchise-based ISL, which brings local players together with international stars, kicks off its
second season on 3rd October. The final will be played in Goa on 20th December.

Industrial Bank to sponsor Shanghai

Industrial Bank Company has become a sponsor of the Shanghai International Marathon.
The Fuzhou-based financial services organisation has signed a five-year deal with race organiser
Shanghai East Best which will also see it continue as a partner of the Shanghai Half Marathon.

Company vice president Chen Jinguang. "The Industrial Bank kept the idea of sustainable
development with the marathon being the symbol of perseverance, which meets our spirit."
The 2015 edition of the Shanghai Marathon, which has been run annually since 2000, will take place
on 8th November.
