Testimony
Even though I have to walk through the deepest valley,
I will not fear. My Lord is beside me!
Mr Surjit Pal, Superintendent, TLM Hospital, Salur
I was born in a Christian family, was a regular church goer, and actively
participated in all church activities.
Whenever I made any mistake, I would repent! After a few days, I would sin
and again repent. This was the usual cycle in my life! I worked hard for
people to accept me as a good man.
In 2003, I was interacting with a Korean pastor. He spoke about human
nature, through Jeremiah 17:9 (The heart is deceitful above all things and
beyond cure. Who can understand it?"), Romans 3:23 (for all have sinned
and fall short of the glory of God) and Romans 3:4a (Not at all! Let God be
true, and every human being a liar). I realised that a person cannot be
entirely good. I started losing belief in myself. I started making resolutions
to avoid sinning and live a good life. But, when I stopped relying on myself
and depended on God, Jesus entered my heart. He spoke to me through
Romans 3:24 (and all are justified freely by his grace through the
redemption that came by Christ Jesus), and Hebrews 10:10 (And by that
will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus
Christ once for all).
As a human being, I know that I cannot help but sinning. But, regardless of
what the sin is, is there any sin that cannot be washed by the blood of
Christ? Since then, I have stopped looking at myself through my eyes, but
through the eyes of Jesus who has sanctified me through His blood.
In the past 12 years, I have always submitted my problems, big or small, to
God. Due to Gods grace and faithfulness, my life has become strong. Had I
been on my own, I would have surely fallen. As David says in Psalm 23:4,
Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are
with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me... Christ is my Shepherd
and takes care of all my needs and gives me the strength to face all
challenges. Even though I have to walk through the deepest valley, I will not
fear. My Lord is beside me!
Why the name, The INTERCESSOR for our Prayer Diary
We, as Christians, believe that God is willing to listen to our intercessions about the issues that concern us as an
organisation. And so, all TLMTI units, during morning devotion do intercessory prayer, and hence we have given the name
The INTERCESSOR to our prayer diary!
