Objectives


To improve students knowledge on MS Excel Application.

To provide an opportunity for the students to apply MS Excel features for Quantity
Surveying functions to improve their work efficiency.

To develop report writing skills of the students.

Select one of the following Quantity Surveying (QS) functions and carry out the tasks
mentioned subsequently.

(a) Identify MS Excel features which are mostly used for the selected QS function.
(b) Describe the applications of each MS excel feature identified above.

Task - 02
Write a report as a Quantity Surveyor who highly use MS Excel, describing as to how the use
of MS Excel could benefit you to perform your job tasks well in the industry.

Methodology





Students shall work individually.


Students are expected to produce a written report.
The report shall be word processed on one side of A4 paper, neatly presented as a bound
document and should be limited to a maximum of 2500 words.
The report shall contain;
a) An introduction
b) The text (preferably in appropriate chapters)
c) CD containing the MS Excel worksheets prepared in support of task one.
d) Conclusions
e) References in accordance with APA referencing system
f) Annexes
