EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
Plan International is one of the oldest and largest international development agencies in the world.
In the Philippines, Plan works with children and their families in the poor communities with programs
covering education, child and youth engagement, health (including water and environmental
sanitation), and child protection.
Plan International will implement a three-year project that includes inclusive/sustainable livelihood,
health, youth training and employment, and disaster risk reduction programs in the municipalities of
Panay and East Samar. The project is in consortium with Handicap International and funded by UK
based organization, the Big Lottery Fund.
Graduate degree in economics, community development or other related course and with
advance education or masters degree on economics, rural development, and other related
studies.
Has relevant training on participatory research and monitoring & evaluation methods, project
proposal, micro-enterprise development, micro-finance management.
Has at least five years in development work and must have at least three years experience in
implementing youth development projects, technical research on recovery food security and
livelihood, and value chain analysis, planning, developing and managing community
development work related projects, and experience in working in an recovery context.
Uses clear and effective communication strategies that builds relationships in order to
influence others
Is assertive and is able to show cultural sensitivity
enterprises and service sectors and ensuring all programs is implemented in line with the set
standards and objectives.
Qualifications:
Graduate of Social Science, Statistics, Social Work, Community Development or other related
course;
Has relevant training on Sustainable agriculture, coastal resources management, participatory
research and monitoring & evaluation methods, project proposal, micro-enterprise
development, micro-finance management.
Has demonstrated experience of at least five years in development work
Must have at least three years experience in implementing food security and livelihood
projects, technical research on EFSL and value chain analysis, planning, developing and
managing community development work related projects
Has excellent written and spoken English, knowledge and use of the local language is an
advantage.
The Database Officer is responsible for managing data base, project documents and reports,
and flow of information internal and external. The information officer works closely with the MnE team
to ensure proper documentation of project accomplishments deliverables, and periodic updating of
Report Matrices.

CDFs will also ensure that implementation is consistent with Plans Child Centered Community
Development framework.
