This occasion will provide a forum for exchange between school leaders and the Teacher
Quality Institute on building teaching quality across the ACT public education system. As
educators, we all know the powerful difference teaching quality makes to student learning
outcomes. This forum will explore key practical issues of relevance to school leaders,
including:

Pre-Service Teacher Education

Certification and Standards work
Professional Learning
Changes in the 2014-18 Teaching Staff Enterprise Agreement

A Q&A conversation will give school leaders an opportunity to discuss the challenges that
are arising across the system and to explore how we can work together to continue enhancing
the profession and, through it, our world-class public education system.
