DataGenius
DataGenius is the community for people around the world to use creativity
to solve complex problems with simple SAP solutions.
Since its inception, it has become its own community, with fans and
evangelists from all over the world who celebrate the innovation of SAP
products through a fun and engaging campaign. DataGenius is about a
combination of data wrangling, data storytelling and being innovative, all in
the name of solving real-world problems. Are you ready to accept the
challenge?

SAP University Alliances

The SAP University Alliances program opens up the world of SAP to more
than 2,300 universities in 90 countries worldwide, and aims to develop
highly qualified graduates with critical skills for the 21st century workforce.
Universities gain access to an ever-expanding range of SAP software and
curriculum, enabling faculty to help students better connect business and
IT concepts to practice. The program fosters entrepreneurship and
innovation with Millennials through crowdsourcing, inspiring students to
form startup companies leveraging SAP technologies.

The goal of SAP University Alliances and DataGenius is to provide a platform

for professors and students to utilize SAP technology in an interactive and
engaging way in todays curriculum.

How It Works
Use SAP Lumira, SAP Lumira Cloud, SAP Predictive Analytics, or SAP
HANA Cloud Platform to visualize and tell your data story. Learn in an
engaging and fun way, connect with the SAP community and participate in
the annual DataGenius IV Challenge for your chance to win prizes and a pass
to SAPPHIRE NOW 2016!
Professors are encouraged to incorporate the DataGenius challenge into a
class, announce to your students, share with a student interest group or
post it on a bulletin board. Help us get the word out to students! The contest
is an amazing way for students to explore SAPs analytics tool set on their
own or reinforce what theyve learned in class while at the same time
having the opportunity to win cool prizes and connect with a global
community.
In the Getting Started: For Professors section, you will find links to
download or access SAP software as well as links to extended license keys.
The tutorials will introduce the solutions. Use the provided datasets, public
datasets or use your own. Examples from past contests will provide
inspiration.
You can share the Getting Started: For Students section through the end
of the packet with your students. This section provides similar tutorials,
links to download/access SAP software and datasets. It additionally
outlines the steps to register for the contest, submit their entry and covers
judging and prizes.

Creative ways to incorporate DataGenius into your curriculum

Give bonus points in the course or final exam for submitting an entry.
Include DataGenius as a homework assignment or team project.
Create your own DataGenius competition in your class.

3. Submit your entry through SAP Idea Place

Read all Terms and Conditions then select your allegiance and
technology.

Log in/Register with SAP IDs.

You must log in to submit your entry. If you do not have a SAP ID,
you will need to create an account in to submit.

Create Your Entry.

You can save drafts and upload your visualizations. You can also
include links to YouTube videos, Prezi presentations, gifs, etc

Submit Your Entry.

All entries will be hidden until the DataGenius Team verifies them

When submitting your entry, be

sure to select Im a student under
the A little bit about you*
section.
Once selected, another drop down
menu will appear. Select Yes if you
use SAP software in your classes.
To verify your school is a part of the

Alliances

University Alliances Student Grand Prize

University Alliances students have an exclusive additional chance to win a
SAPPHIRE NOW Orlando (May 17-19, 2016) pass and the ultimate student
experience during SAPPHIRE NOW. The winner will spend three days with
an exclusive group of university students, professors and mentors from
around the world. Students experience first-hand what it is like to be a part
of the SAP ecosystem and interact with key SAP partners and customers

Judging
SAP University Alliances student entries will go through a voting period from
December 1 8th, 2015. The top 10 entries with the most votes will then be
evaluated by a panel of University Alliances judges based on the judging
criteria. The winner will be announced on December 14th, 2015.
