Aarti Foundation is a federally tax-exempt, not for profit organization. It was
formed in September 2001 in Queens, New York by 25 close friends and families
for the purpose of helping the less fortunate people of the United States and India.
We also help the victims of natural disasters.
Aarti Foundation has been collecting used clothes since April 2003. In October,
2012, we sent 15,000 pounds of used clothes to India. We are also actively helping
private charitable organizations in the U.S. and India by donating food and money
to carry out their projects. We cannot continue to do this work without your help.
You have helped us for the past eleven years and we are very confident that you
will do the same each year.
Aarti Foundation regrets to inform you that we have stopped collecting used
clothes for India and have discontinued this project because of difficulties in releasing
the container through Indian Customs Authority.
